Stampin’ Up! Cottage Roses & Wreaths for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  We’ve got a sweet sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I figured this would be a good day to go all-Autumn-all-the-time – our trees are going crazy in their Fall colors, so…I was inspired!  I pulled out the Cottage Rose set – to do a little white-wash technique – and the Cottage Wreaths set for the main feature.  Take a look-see:

And – here’s the sketch we played with today!

I was also inspired by elements in the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge! I got Foliage, Wreath, Die Cut, Layers, Autumn Colors and Twine!!

I started by stamping the rose image from Cottage Rose all over a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock using Whisper White Ink.  Then I added the leaf image from Cottage Wreaths!  The white gets very soft on the Crumb Cake and is a nice subtle look.

I matted the panel on Mango Melody cardstock to create the card front.

I used the largest Stylish Shapes circle die to cut out a Crumb Cake circle – then embossed it in the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I used the dies in the Country Wreaths Die set to cut a Cajun Craze wreath and then four small Mango Melody and four small Crushed Curry leaves.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the Cajun Craze wreath to the card front and then added each of the small leaves – alternating the Mango Melody and Crushed Curry leaves.

I stamped the Cottage Rose sentiment in Cajun Craze ink on a strip of Crumb Cake cardstock, matted it on Mango Melody and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I cut four small leaves using the die in the Country Wreaths set from Brushed Metallic Cardstock and adhered them with Liquid Glue next to the sentiment.

I love the Silver-Threaded Twine but it was a little thicker than I wanted for this card, so I unraveled a piece of it and pulled out a few twine and silver threads.  I used those to tie a small bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

I added some Amber Gems here and there and the card front was done!

For the inside, I stamped the Cottage Rose flower image in Whisper White ink in the corners of a Crumb Cake panel.  In the center, I stamped the Cottage Rose sentiment in Cajun Craze – then stamped a Cottage Wreaths leaf over top in Whisper White.  Then I added a single Amber Gem.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mango Melody mat and into my Cajun Craze card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got Cottage Rose flowers on the front in Crumb Cake ink…

…and a little bit of Rustic Harvest DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! How much do you love the white-stamping on the Crumb Cake?!?  As much as I do, I hope – and it’s kind of perfect with the pretty Cottage Rose flowers and Cottage Wreaths leaves.  I am also loving this Fall Country Wreath with the pretty silvery twine bow, aren’t you?!

I hope you like!
