Stampin’ Up! Forever Friendship Thank You for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is “Giving Thanks”!  We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

Now – you’ll probably see a lot of Fall foliage and pumpkins on the hop – and I confess I looked at my Soft Seedlings set for more than a minute! – but…I settled on a fun set called Forever Friendship!  And I went with a masculine theme – using the Black & White Designs DSP – with a pop of red.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the Sketch Saturday challenge.

I started by adhering a piece of Black & White Designs DSP on a Sweet Sorbet mat for the card front.  I also matted a narrow strip of another design from the pack on Sweet Sorbet and adhered it to the side of the card front with Liquid Glue.

Next up – I cut some Sweet Sorbet cardstock with the next-to-largest Stylish Shapes circle die.

I embossed that circle in the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

Using my Stamparatus, I stamped the typewriter image from Forever Friendship in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a piece of Basic White.

I colored the image with my Light & Dark Smoky Slate Stampin Blends and Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Write Marker and then cut it out with my Paper Snips.

I popped the fussy cut image onto the embossed circle using Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added two Sweet Sorbet 2022-2023 In Color Matte Decorative Dots up in the DSP strip – and one in the bottom corner – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from Forever Friendship in Tuxedo Black on a piece of Basic White.  Then I added a narrow strip of the Black & White Designs DSP – matted on Sweet Sorbet – to the bottom of the panel.  One small Sweet Sorbet 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dot next to the sentiment finished it off.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Sweet Sorbet mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got a fun banner from Forever Friendship in Tuxedo Black – with a hand-writtten Sweet Sorbet greeting in it!! – on the front…

…and more of the Black & White Designs DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  If you like “punny” stamp sets – like I do! – then the Forever Friendship set is just the thing!  The typewriter image is just one of the fun options!

I think this card would be a great card for a guy – the Black & White Designs DSP adds some fun without any “Froof” – but it would work for anyone, don’t you think?!
