Happy weekend-eve, y’all! Whoo-hoo!
I made a fun card yesterday using the new Trees for Sale stamp set – with the coordinating (and FREE with a $100 purchase during Sale-A-Bration!) Tree Lot Dies. I wanted it to be NOT for Christmas, so…I pulled out the Happiness Abounds stamp set to get a couple of sentiments. AND – it’s a fun fold card! Take a look-see:
Yeah – the Tree Lot Dies are almost TOO much fun! I really had a blast decorating this super-easy fun fold!
Being that it’s a fun fold, I entered it at the Creative Creases challenge!
And – I did this one for my Facebook Live tutorial yesterday – so…if you were able to watch, I appreciate you joining me! If not, but you’d like to watch how it’s made, you can check it out right here!
I started with a Soft Succulent card base cut at 7″ x 8 1/2″ and scored and folded at 3 1/2″ and again at 5 1/4″ on the 7″ side. And – that’s a Slimline Easel – done! 🙂
I matted two pieces of new Snowflake Specialty Vellum to two Pool Party mats – I used Liquid Glue just behind the printed (velvety!) dots on the paper, so it would be hidden. Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the matted panels to the two sections of the card front.
To create the scene – I made the trailer, the trees and the light stands. Here’s how I decorated this card – but…you could do whatever you like once you’ve created the slimline easel! Just remember – ONLY put adhesive on the BOTTOM portion of the decorations and ONLY adhere them to the bottom portion of the card front! 🙂
Trailer:
1. Use the trailer body die in the Tree Lot Dies to cut a Basic White trailer body and a Basic Black trailer body
2. Snip the tire and the hitch off of the white trailer body
3. Use the two-part die in the Tree Lot Dies to cut out two Polished Pink pieces – then adhere them to the front of the trailer with Liquid Glue
4. Use Liquid Glue to adhere a small piece of Vellum Cardstock to the front of the black trailer body – covering the two windows
5. Use Liquid Glue to adhere the white trailer body over the black body (sandwiching the vellum between to the two pieces), making sure the edges line up
6. Use the tiny curtain die in the Tree Lot Dies to cut a Polished Pink curtain
7. Set the curtain in place “in” the vellum window, then use Liquid Glue to adhere a small piece of So Saffron cardstock to the back of the trailer, again covering the windows and sandwiching the “curtain”
8. Use the two-part die in the Tree Lot Dies to cut out two Polished Pink pieces – then adhere them to the front of the trailer with Liquid Glue
9. Use the dies in the Tree Lot Dies to cut a small Evening Evergreen wreath and a small Polished Pink bow. Adhere them to the trailer door with Liquid Glue
Trees:
1. Use the three solid tree dies in the Tree Lot Dies to cut three each from Mint Macaron, Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent cardstock
2. Adhere a piece of Adhesive Sheet to the back of a piece of white paper from the Real Red & White 6″ x 6″ Glimmer Paper
3. Use the three detailed dies in the Tree Lot Dies to cut three of each sizes of the trees from the Glimmer Paper
4. Adhere each of the detailed Glimmer trees to the solid die cut trees. Note: this makes 9 trees. I only used 8 here – but…you could for sure add the last tree if you like! It’s YOUR happy little forest!
Lights and poles:
1. Stamp the light strand from Trees for Sale twice in Soft Suede on Basic White cardstock and cut them out with their matching dies from the Tree Lot Dies
2. Color the lights with a Polished Pink Stampin’ Write Marker
3. Stamp the light pole from Trees for Sale three times in Soft Suede on Basic White cardstock and cut them out with their matching dies from the Tree Lot Dies
I adhered the trees to the bottom portion of the card front using Liquid Glue. I gave them time to dry – especially where I’d stacked trees on each other (the Glimmer Paper takes an extra beat to adhere!).
Then I added the light poles using Liquid Glue. I snipped the bottom of the poles so that they’d fit (remember – you don’t want anything extending past the edge of the card base when the card is closed!) – and the bottoms would be hidden behind the trailer and the sentiment.
Using Liquid Glue – I adhered light strands to the tops of the poles – I was able to cut one strand into two pieces! 🙂 Not gonna lie here – this part is a little fiddly – but totally worth it (I think!).
Then I adhered the trailer with Liquid Glue.
On a strip of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the sentiment from Happiness Abounds in Polished Pink. Then I adhered the strip to the card front with Liquid Glue. I added an Evening Evergreen 2021-2023 In Color Opal Round to the sentiment and the card front was done.
For the inside, I stamped the trees from the Trees For Sale set in Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent on a piece of Basic White cardstock. I think these are the cutest little trees ever – and SO easy to line up and make awesome!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pool Party mat and to the inside of the card base. I stamped the Happiness Abounds sentiment in Polished Pink on Basic White and cut it out with the smallest fat die in the Stitched Rectangle Dies set. Then I adhered it in place – to act as the easel “stop” – with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the little dog from Trees For Sale in Soft Suede on a piece of Basic White and cut him with the matching die in the Tree Lot Dies. I added a few spots and such with my Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends, then popped him into place on the inside of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A final Evening Evergreen 2021-2023 In Color Opal Round finished off the card!
I used a cool Slimline Envelope in Soft Succulent and decorated the front with more Trees For Sale trees and the little dog, too!
The Slimline Envelopes COME with a decorated flap – so… no need to do anything more!
Et Voila! A little over the top??! Well…maybe! But..I just couldn’t help myself – and neither will you when you have the Trees For Sale stamp set AND you pick up the Tree Lot Dies for FREE during Sale-A-Bration with your $100 purchase! And – there are even MORE fun dies that I haven’t even used yet. These – like all the SAB products are ONLY WHILE SUPPLIES LAST so…don’t miss out, okay!? This fun set isn’t even JUST for Christmas when you use sentiments like these from Happiness Abounds – so…let your imagination run wild!

I am sure his love for you comes as easily as your card. I know you can see what I did there! Have a great weekend. Even though I want you to be rich, I want to see you even more tomorrow night 😉
LOL! I feel pretty confident that you WILL see me – tomorrow night and all the ones after that! Thanks so much, Karen! 🙂
That’s just way too cute!! Love the fun layout and the fun camping die cuts! Such a great design! Poor Finn…too many favorite toys to decide on just one!! 🙂
True – he’s overwhelmed by all the choices!! It’s a problem for him, I’m sure! Thanks, Amy! 🙂
He must love it…it’s still intact. And I am sure he will give it to you any second now!
Card is great.
He does. And it’s…mostly…intact! And…give it to me…hmmm. 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️ Thanks much, Mom! 🙂
Well, this is one of the cutest cards ever! I see that I will spend lots of time playing with those dies. So many cute parts and pieces. My plan is to make a stash of trailers to add to cards when needed.
Woo-Hoo that you added labels to your ‘store’ !
As for Finn…I’m SURE he intends to share his favorite toy with you….he loves you most.
Fun! You’ll have your very own campground – all ready to go! I think the labels will help folks – I hope, at least! Thanks so much for the kind words, Faith! 🙂
Amazing card! Mary, you are so creative. Design, colors, textures….this one just blew me away. Now if only we could all band together and campaign to SU to make a more Finn-like stamp 😁
LOL – for sure! He would be HAPPY to pose for a photo-shoot! Thank you so much, Judi! 🙂
This is just too cute! I love the happy little scene with the sparkly trees. TFS. But Finn finally shared! Wet and all!
Well…”share” is kind of a strong word, but…it WAS all wet! 😂😂😂 Thanks so much, Susan! 🙂
What a fantastic card! I always enjoy your videos! Thanks for sharing your great ideas!
Thank you so much, Laurie – glad that you like them! 🙂
