Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! We’ve got a beautiful color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
When I saw the colors this week I knew right away that I was going to pull out the Nature’s Prints bundle and the Sun Prints DSP. And so…I did! 🙂 Take a look-see:
And here’s the color challenge! I used all but the Night of Navy! 😎
I started using the white Pearlized Enamel Effects to “color” a Textural Element. I used a little extra “paint” at the ends where the berries are, to create a more rounded appearance. I set the element aside to dry while I worked on the rest of the card!
Next up, I stamped the fern image from the Nature’s Bundle stamp set in Starry Sky ink all over a Starry Sky panel. Then I embossed the panel in the cool Fern 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to a Gray Granite mat for the card front.
I used the next-to-largest square Stylish Shapes die to cut a piece of plain Lovely Layers 3 3/4″ x 5″ Vellum and then adhered it to the card front with Glue Dots.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Nature’s Prints fern in Starry Sky and the wildflower leaves in Pacific Point. Then I cut them both out with their matching dies in the bundled Natural Prints die set.
I used the leaves dies in the Natural Prints die set to cut out three long leaves from Gray Granite cardstock, and five smaller leaves from Starry Sky 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper.
I double checked that the Pearlized Enamel Paint was dry on the Textural Element and started creating the collage.
I adhered all the die cuts and the Textural Element to the card front with Liquid Glue.
With everything in place, I used a strip of Stampin’ Seal + to adhere a loop-de-doop of Gray Granite 1/4″ Shimmer Ribbon.
I stamped the Nature’s Prints sentiment in Starry Sky on a piece of Basic White and cut it out with the third-from-smallest Stylish Shapes die.
I popped the sentiment onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhered some Starry Sky 2022-2024 In Color Matte Dots and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Nature’s Prints in Starry Sky on a piece of Basic White. Then, in stamped-off-once Pacific Point, I stamped the Nature’s Prints frond. I stamped it upside down – and have been…re-thinking that design choice since I made the card! 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️ If you make this card – stamp it upside right or downside wrong, whichever you prefer! 🙂 I added a Starry Sky 2022-2024 In Color Matte Dot next to the sentiment
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Gray Granite mat and into my Thick Basic White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Pacific Point frond a few times on the front…
…and a little of the Sun Prints DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Boy – I’ve been so caught up in new goodies from the Jul – Dec 2022 Mini that I’d sort of lost track of this beautiful Nature’s Prints stamp set and bundled Natural Prints dies. I love how the elements come together and they’re pretty amazing with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder, don’t you think?!?
I hope you like!
