‘Sup, my peeps?? Having a good weekend so far? We DID actually get the van washed yesterday – AND we were able to get the remains of half the bugs in Kansas and Oklahoma off – thanks to some magical potion that the car wash manager brought to us. AND two trips thru the machine! So…it’s all bright and shiny again! Yeah!!
I made another sneak peek from the Jul – Dec 2022 Mini Catalog for you and, surprise!, it uses a Fall bundle that you can get as part of one of my Special Bundles. Yes – Bundle #6 (again!). The pretty Gathered Wheat stamp set and bundled Wheat Dies has pretty much ALL the things I love! Take a look-see:
I was inspired by the Global Design Projects’s CASE The Designer challenge!
And – I did a video on how to make this card – if you were able to join me last night for my YouTube live – I appreciate it! If not, but you’d like to take a look, here ’tis!
I started by stamping all over the front of my Pale Papaya card base with the single wheat image from the Gathered Wheat set in Pale Papapa ink. That gave me a nice tone-on-tone look!
Next, I cut a Stitched Rectangle Die (the fifth from the smallest die) from a piece of Soft Suede cardstock and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I used Stampin’ Seal + to adhere a loose loop-d-doo of new Silver-Threaded Twine (coming on 1 July with the new catalog).
The next element is a Very Vanilla rectangle cut with the fourth-from-smallest Stitched Rectangle Die. I used the splatter image from Gathered Wheat to stamp all over it in Crushed Curry and Mango Melody inks. Then I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the rectangle over the twine.
I used my Stamparatus to stamp the big Gathered Wheat sheaf in Crushed Curry on a piece of Very Vanilla, then I used the coordinating die in the bundled Wheat Die set to cut it out.
I colored the wheat tops using my Crushed Curry, Pale Papaya and Mango Melody Stampin’ Write Markers and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Very Vanilla, I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso and cut it out with the banner die from the Wheat Die set. It embosses score lines as it cuts, so it’s easy to fold it into a perfect banner!
I adhered the banner to the card front with some Stampin’ Dimensionals – and a little Liquid Glue under the “tails”.
I added some gems from the new Leaf Labels & Amber Gems Pack (get these on 1 Jul, too!).
Finally, I cut four Crushed Curry wheat top die cuts using the Wheat Dies, adhered them under the corners of the Very Vanilla rectangle using Liquid Glue, and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a Very Vanilla panel with the single wheat image from Gathered Wheat in Pale Papaya. Over the top, I added a second sentiment in Early Espresso.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Soft Suede mat and to the inside of the card base and the card was done.
My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the Gathered Wheat stalk in Pale Papaya on the front…
…and a bunch of little wheat tops all over the envelope flap in Pale Papaya ink.
Et Voila! Gathered Wheat – and the bundled Wheat Dies – are another gorgeous Autumnal offering in the new Jul – Dec 2022 Mini Catalog – and I love it! The die set is amazing – cutting out the stamped images AND extra wheat elements for your projects!
Even if you do NOT pick up my Special Bundle #6 – Fall’s My Fave – with this bundle and all the Fall goodness you could ask for! – then I hope you WILL consider adding this one to your stash!
