Stampin’ Up! Very Best Occasions Wonderful World Sneak Peek for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  We’ve got a fun sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

We’ve got a wonderful new bundle of goodness coming on 1 July in the Jul – Aug 2022 Sale-A-Bration catalog, called Wonderful World!  It’s a bundled stamp set and DSP and it’s GORGEOUS!  You’ll be able to get it for FREE with a $100 purchase!  Being that it’s stunning – I pulled it out.  And – being that it’s an image-only stamp set, I ALSO pulled out the new Very Best Occasions stamp set – which is in the Jul – Dec 2022 Mini Catalog – ALSO coming on 1 July.  Take a look-see:

And – here’s our sketch!  Angled panels are one of my fave design elements – they’re so fun!

I started with a piece of the simply gorgeous Wonderful World DSP – adhering it to the front of a Daffodil Delight card base using Liquid Glue.

Next, I matted a square of what MIGHT be my fave design in the DSP pack on a piece of Orchid Oasis cardstock, then I adhered it to the front of the card with more Liquid Glue.

Y’all – seriously.  Look.  At.  This.  Paper!!

You’re going to see more projects from me using it, I promise!!

I used a Blending Brush to swirl some Flirty Flamingo ink onto a piece of Basic White cardstock.  Tip:  be sure to swirl on a piece of scrap paper first, to get rid of any clumps of ink.  Tip 2:  you can ADD more color a LOT easier than you can take it OFF – so…go easy and take your time!

When I had the color to my liking, I placed the panel into my Stamparatus and stamped the large floral from Wonderful World in Mossy Meadow ink.  Then I stamped the pretty sentiment from Very Best Occasions (coming soon in the new Jul – Aug Mini) in Orchid Oasis.

I took the panel out and stamped the two smaller Wonderful World floral images next to the allium (I’m pretty sure that’s what it is!) – also in Mossy Meadow.

With all that done, I used the next-to-largest die in the Scalloped Contours die set to cut it out.

Finally, I added a few of the small leaf images in Mossy Meadow and popped the panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some Brushed Brass Butterflies here and there and the card front was done.  Easy peasy!

On the inside, I added some Flirty Flamingo ink in the corner of a Basic White panel with my Blending Brush, then stamped more Wonderful World florals in Mossy Meadow over top.  A couple – okay, three!! – Brushed Brass Butterflies finished it off!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Orchid Oasis mat and then into my card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got more Blended Flirty Flamingo and Mossy Meadow florals on the front…

…and a little more of that gorgeous Wonderful World DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  So – you guys know that I have sort of a love-hate relationship with DistINKtive stamps (I make no secret of that!) – but THIS one…is LOVE LOVE LOVE all the way!  The Wonderful World stamps stamp PERFECTLY and are great as silhouettes – or…you could color them using the Marker-to-Stamp technique with your Stamparatus.  However you color them – you’re going to WANT to have them in your stash – AND you’re going to want the stunning Wonderful World DSP, too.  How HANDY that you’ll be able to get them BOTH together for FREE with a $100 purchase!  Bonus!  Don’t miss the Very Best Occasions stamp set – it’ll be bundled with the Very Best Trio Punch

…when the new Jul – Dec 2022 Mini Catalog goes live on 1 Jul!
