Stampin’ Up! Happiness Abounds with Sweetest Cherries for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  We’ve got a great color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

When I saw the colors for our challenge – my brain said…Sweetest Cherries stamp set and Cherry Builder Punch!  It’s so summery and fun and fits perfectly with the colors.  And I also grabbed a sweet sentiment from Happiness Abounds for the inside of the card.  Take a look-see:

Hmmm – I WONDER what the colors are for the challenge!?

It’s a mystery!

And I got the idea to make the frame from the TGIF Technique Challenge this week.

I started by embossing a piece of Starry Sky cardstock in the Gingham Embossing Folder then adhering it to the front of my Starry Sky card base using Liquid Glue.

Next, across the top and bottom of a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the basket-weave image from Sweetest Cherries in Tahitian Tide.  I stamped it twice across the top and twice across the bottom

In the center white-space, I stamped three sentiment images from Sweetest Cherries.  First I stamped “Sweet” in Orchid Oasis.  Then I added the other two phrases in Starry Sky.  This photopolymer set is super easy to get everything lined up!

I adhered the panel to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I cut two Tahitian Tide frames using the Deckled Rectangle Dies.  I cut two of the largest die.  From one, I cut out the middle with the third-from-largest rectangle.  I adhered the resulting frame over the stamped panel.

I made the top frame by cutting the next-to-largest die from the middle of the second largest die cut.  Then I adhered it to the bottom frame with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the cherry image from Sweetest Cherries in Sweet Sorbet on Basic White.  I used the bundled Cherry Builder Punch to cut them out.  I did the same with three Parakeet Party stems and three leaves!  I told you this was the perfect set for this color challenge! 😉

I adhered the stems to the cherries with Liquid Glue.  Then I adhered the bottom left cherry with Liquid Glue and popped the other two on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added the leaves with Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped a sweet sentiment from Happiness Abounds in Orchid Oasis on a Basic White panel.  Then I added some Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party cherries!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Tahitian Tide mat and into my Starry Sky card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got some Sweet Cherries on the front…

And then I added a little Tahitian Tide 2022-2024 In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  It’s a summer picnic on a card (but….no flies!), don’t you think?!  I love this fun little Sweet Cherries bundle – more than I thought I would, actually – the cherries line up and stamp beautifully and the different sentiments you can put together are really wonderful! And – don’t forget to make you some frames using various sizes of the amazing Deckled Rectangles! 🙂

I hope you like!
