Stampin’ Up! Best Butterfly Kisses for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

The Best Butterfly Bundle was not at the top of my list when I first saw the catalog.  I mean – I thought it was cute, no doubt.  But…maybe…TOO cute??!  I finally decided to give it a chance – along with the other goodies in the Suite.  And boy am I glad I did cuz it is SO much fun to play with!  And – I also pulled out the newest goodie I’ve been so excited to use…the new Deckled Rectangle Dies!!  Take a look-see:

And here’s our sketch!

My color palette was inspired by the color challenge at The Paper Players this week.

I started by cutting a piece of Basic White cardstock with the largest Deckled Rectangle Die and then embossing it in the Fern 3D Embossing Folder.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the embossed panel to the front of a Thick Basic White card base.

I cut two pieces of the Butterfly Kisses 6″ x 6″ DSP with the fourth-from-the-largest Deckled Rectangle die.  I adhered the bottom rectangle with Liquid Glue and popped the top one on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock, I stamped the Best Butterflies sentiment in Starry Night ink and cut it with the smallest Deckled Rectangle.  Then I popped the sentiment on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To make the butterfly, I cut two wing dies – with their “inner” die in place – from Basic White to make the two detailed wing pieces.  Then I used the outer “outline” die by itself to cut two more wings – these from the Butterfly Kisses DSP.  I used Liquid Glue to adhere the white pieces to their corresponding DSP pieces.

I cut the larger butterfly body from a piece of Starry Night 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper.  Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the two wings to the underside of the body.

I popped the butterfly onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a bow made from two lengths of 2022-2024 In Color Baker’s Twine in Parakeet Party and adhered it with a Glue Dot. A few Trinket Adhesive-Backed Flowers finished off the card front!

On the inside, I stamped a second Best Butterflies sentiment in Starry Sky on a Basic White panel.  In the corner, I stamped a butterfly in Parakeet Party, Fresh Freesia and Starry Sky.  I brushed the body with the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush.  I used the dots image to add stamped-off-once Fresh Freesia all around!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Fresh Freesia mat and into the Thick Basic White cardbase and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Best Butterflies butterfly and dots on the front…

…and more of the Butterfly Kisses 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Okay – I’m not a math whiz, but…I think there’s about a zillion different flutterbies you can make with this uber-fun Best Butterflies stamp set and the bundled Butterfly Builder dies!  Add the Butterfly Kisses 6″ x 6″ DSP and…you’ve got the makings of tons and tons of fun projects!  And the Deckled Dies.  The.  Deckled.  Dies.  Wow wow and also…WOW!  I LOVE them SO much!!

I hope you like!
