Stampin’ Up! Tulips & Daffodils Birthday Bouquet for the Happy Inkin Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  We’ve got a theme challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

When I saw our theme – I knew that the Flowering Tulips bundle was going to play a part.  And it seemed like I would also want a bunch of daffodils – so…out came the Daffodil Dies.  Take a look-see:

Gosh.  Can you possibly guess our theme!? 😉

I used the sketch side of the FUSION challenge for the layout.

And the Just Us Girls challenge gave me the color palette!

I also thought it worked pretty darned well with the As You See It challenge!

I started by embossing a Basic Black panel in the Timeworn 3D Embossing Folder and matting it on Blushing Bride for the card front.

I matted a strip of Basic Black (unembossed and unadorned) on Blushing Bride and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I used the various stems and leaves dies from the Tulips Dies and Daffodil Dies to cut three or four from Soft Succulent card stock.

From Very Vanilla cardstock, I cut a BUNCH of flower parts – for both Tulips and Daffodils.

I used a Sponge Dauber with Blushing Bride ink – it was VERY dry.  Like…VERY – to lightly color the detailed Daffodil flower pieces.  For Tulip pieces, I colored all of them.

Then I used Glue Dots and the occasional Stampin’ Dimensional (okay – ONE Dimensional – on the tulip that’s on the top in the top photo above) to put the flowers all together.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the longest leaves to the card front – and then added the two skinny stems.  I started adding flowers with Liquid Glue.  The top-most Tulip is adhered with a Black Stampin’ Dimensional.

I stamped the sentiment from Flowering Tulips in Soft Succulent on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and cut it with the next-to-smallest Stitched Rectangle Die.

I tied a small bow from a length of black twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack and adhered it with a Glue Dot.   Then I adhered the sentiment over the top with double-stacked Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut a larger butterfly (from the Daffodil Dies) in Very Vanilla and the smaller one in Blushing Bride, then adhered them together with a little Liquid Glue.  I gently curled the wings and added a couple of vanilla Classic Matte Dots.  Then I added it to the card front with a Black Mini Dimensional.

I added some Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped a couple of Flowering Tulips in stamped-off-once Blushing Bride.  I only stamped the larger images – letting the “rest” of the flower be Very Vanilla.  I added a couple of stamped-off-once Soft Succulent stems.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Blushing Bride mat and then into a Thick Very Vanilla card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the Flowering Tulips on the front…

…and I added some 2021-2023 In Color DSP in Soft Succulent on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE these two bundles (although I only used the Daffodil Dies and not the bundled Daffodil Daydream stamp set).  The Flowering Tulips is gorgeous and I really like how fun the Tulips Dies flowers are to make!

I hope you like!
