Good morning and happy Sunday! Hope your weekend is going well! HOPE you’re not a Dawg’s Fan cuz…if you ARE…you’re a bit bummed out today! 🙁 Beating Alabama is not a trivial task and – sadly – the Dawg’s weren’t up for the task yesterday. 🙁
I spent a LOOONG time on last night’s FB live (and those of you who hung in there with me – thank you!)! We did a pretty pink and gray card using a new stamp bundle and then I spent the bulk of the video giving y’all a look at the goodies that were in my second pre-order from the Jan – Jun 2022 Mini Catalog. If you missed it – and want to check it out – here ’tis on YouTube!
This card uses a stamp set that I loved as soon as I saw it – the Amazing Silhouettes set. It’s really fun and pretty and – even BETTER! – it’s got the WUNNERMUS Amazing Thanks die set bundled with it in the new Jan – Jun 2022 Mini Catalog (available for customer ordering on 4 Jan 2022)! And I pulled a few butterflies from the Brilliant Wings Die set (available right now!). Take a look-see:
I LOVE sentiment dies – especially “shadow” dies like this! – don’t you??
The soft and classic color scheme is from the Color Throwdown challenge this week.
I started by stamping the large tree image from the Amazing Silhouettes set in Blushing Bride on a piece of Basic White cardstock. Then I ran the panel thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine in the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhere the panel to a Smoky Slate mat to make the card front.
I die cut the “Thanks” and “You” shadow images, in Smoky Slate, using the dies in the Amazing Thanks die set. And I cut the corresponding detailed sentiment die from the dark, brushed foil in the Silver Foil Specialty Pack.
I didn’t want to say “Thanks You” so…I used Paper Snips to cut off the “s” from both parts of the word die cut. Then I used dabs of Liquid Glue to adhere the foil die cuts to their Smoky Slate shadows.
I used Stampin’ Dimensionals – cut down to fit! – on the backs of the sentiments to adhere them to the card front.
Using the Brilliant Wings die set, I cut one small-ish detailed butterfly and two small solid butterflies from Basic White card stock.
I popped the two solid butterflies on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and used a little Liquid Glue to adhere the detailed die cut butterfly – tucking it under the die cut sentiment.
I added some Champagne Basic Jewels and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the butterfly image from Amazing Silhouettes in Blushing Bride on a Basic White panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Smoky Slate mat and into my Blushing Bride card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the tree image on the front in Blushing Bride…
…and a piece of Basic White cardstock that I’d embossed in the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder on the envelope flap. It’s hard to see but…it’s there. I promise! 🙂
Et Voila! This Amazing Silhouette stamp set and bundled Amazing Thanks dies caught my attention the first time I saw it in the catalog (while we were at OnStage!). So it was for sure one of the first items in my shopping cart on the 1st! I know you’re going to really have fun with it!
I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix
I feel like I’m not doing something he wants me to do….
THIS FACE is why I am usually pretty happy he can’t actually talk! 😳😳😳

M
I think he’s saying, “You KNOW I want one of Auntie Karen’s cookies!” Great card, good tips and quite the new stash. I’m saving my pennies for January even though I could spend them now. Although I might weaken if I open the catty again 🙂
Stay strong, Karen, STAY STRONG!! But – a LITTLE splurge would be okay!! 🙂 Thanks so much – glad you liked it!
Such a pretty card! Love the colors and the layering sentiments are so pretty! 🙂 Poor Finn…guessing a treat might be the reason for the long stare. 😉
Yes – apparently he’s being starved to death!
Lovely card…..enjoyed watching it come together!! It was fun seeing your new goodies too….my own list is now lots longer….sigh…..
Beautiful picture of Finn…..I love how his leg ‘feathers’ show….he has such a pretty coat. I’m guessing maybe his rations have been cut back a bit?? We ALL wish we could eat as much as we want…..
Thanks, Faith – glad you enjoyed the peek! And…sorry for making your list longer!! 😉 Yes – his feather and toe-tufts are too cute. We’ve cut him a little – level scoops instead of rounded. Half-bones instead of full. I am sure he’s feeling a little hungrier than he’s used to – dieting sucks! 🙁
Well, poor Finn AND Buffy because that is exactly what is happening at our house: level scoops instead of rounded……and half a biscuit for after-dinner treat. I should be just as disciplined with my own portions!!
If I had a personal chef – maybe! Otherwise?! 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
That face is so adorable but clearly wants something. The card is beautiful.
Yes – it’s clear he NEEDS something and is probably a little baffled by my dumbness! 🤦♀️🤦♀️ Thanks very much, Diane! 🙂
Hi Mary,
Are the slimline envelopes for mini or full size slimlines?
Thanks,
Beth
They’re full size, Beth! 🙂
