Stampin’ Up! Ever Eden’s Garden In The Moment Sneak Peek with Video Tutorial

Happy Sunday, y’all!  And…how’s the day going?  Did you remember to set those clocks back last night?  Or – did you do it this morning?  If that’s how you roll, then at least in this “Fall back” phase – you GAIN an hour of your weekend.  Yeah – it’s weak (and an hour of DARKNESS!), but it’s the only possible positive thing about the switch back to standard time?  Why, oh why, can’t we just pick a time and stay there?!?

If you were able to join me for my YouTube yesterday, I appreciate you spending part of your weekend with me!  If not, but you’d like to see the replay then here ’tis!

We’ve got this new set, called In The Moment, that’s coming out in the Jan – Jun 2022 Mini Catalog.  Since I’m attending our Stampin’ Up! OnStage@Home event this week, I was given the opportunity to get my mitts on it early.  And I paired it with another awesome (early release!) set – the Eden’s Garden Bundle and Ever Eden Specialty DSP!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week!

I started with some of the Ever Eden Specialty DSP that I matted on Evening Evergreen for the card front.

Next – I cut an Evening Evergreen piece from the next-to-largest rectangle from the Scalloped Contours Die set.  I used one of the leaf stamp images from Eden’s Garden in Evening Evergreen all over the front.  Then I adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I matted a strip of another design from Ever Eden Specialty DSP on Evening Evergreen and then adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped one of the pretty images from the new In The Moment set (available to customers on 4 Jan 2022) in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I cut the image with a Circles Layering Die.

When I first saw this stamp set, the open, line drawn images really hollered PAPER PIECE ME!!  So, that’s been my plan from the jump!

I stamped the image again on different designs in the Eden’s Garden Specialty DSP.  Then I fussy cut the pants from one design, the shirt from another, and one of the pillows from the third!

Using the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker, I outlined each fussy cut piece – to make the image outlines stand out a bit (and “tidy” up any bad fussy cutting I might have done!).

Then used Liquid Glue to adhere the pieces over their “spot” on the stamped image. I colored her hair with my Light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend and the second pillow with the Soft Succulent Blends combo.

I cut a scalloped-edge Layering Circles die from the gold paper in the Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper and used Liquid Glue to adhere the art circle to it.  Then I adhered it to the card front with more Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the In The Moment sentiment in Evening Evergreen and cut it with the smallest, skinny die in the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

I popped the sentiment onto the card front with Stampin Dimensionals.  Then I added some Soft Succulent gems from the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped an Eden’s Garden sentiment in Evening Evergreen on a Basic White panel.  Over the top I stamped an Eden’s Garden leaf in stamped-off-once Soft Succulent.  I added another jewel, too.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Evening Evergreen mat and into my Thick Basic White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

Now – about this point last night while I was live, one of the folks suggested coloring the coffee cup on the front of the card.  Seemed like a good idea – and my very scientific survey of all the viewers concurred AND settled on Polished Pink for the cup.  Which led to….Polished Pink gems (instead of Soft Succulent) AND…a Polished Pink card base.

Which is YOUR favorite?!  I like them both but…I LOVE the Polished Pink version!!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Eden’s Garden leaves in full-strength Soft Succulent on the front…

…and more of the Ever Eden Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Have you tried Paper Piecing yet?  If not – give it a go!  And be sure to snag the In The Moment set when the Jan-Jun 2022 Mini Catalog comes out in January!  You can get the Eden’s Garden stamp set and bundled Eden Dies, plus the gorgeous Ever Eden Specialty DSP right now!

I hope you like!

Babies are such a precious gift from God. You are going to be a wonderful “Grandmother”.

  2. Such a pretty card! Love both versions…but probably lean toward the Polished Pink one too. 🙂 Sweet pictures of the new baby with mom & dad! 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

I am surprised – you’re not a PP kind of person! But I agree completely! Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  3. Pam

I love your card from last night. For some reason, I was booted off towards the end and couldn’t get back on. Both color versions are beautiful, but I lean towards the Polished Pink. Thanks for sharing. Juliette is absolutely adorable!!!

    • stampsnlingers

She really is! And yep – the Polished Pink is the one for me, too! Thank you! 🙂

  4. Sweet baby! Lovely card. I like them both, but the pink card is better than the other card (not the baby)..it just pops.

    • stampsnlingers

I love the pink one so much!! And the baby, too! 🙂 Thanks, Julie! 🙂

  5. Sue Floyd

She is a sweetheart Mary! Beautiful parents too! You are blessed…let the spoiling begin!

I love both cards. In the original, to me, the girl looks wistful, maybe even a bit sad. However, in the pink card, the girl looks like a go-get-’em, on-top-of-the-world kind of gal! It’s crazy how a little pink changes everything!

    • stampsnlingers

What a great observation and you’re right! That Polished Pink changes the entire tone of the card! Thanks, Angie! 🙂

  7. Beautiful photos! Loved this card and I making it now before I leave for Disney. However, I have a question. Why in the written measurements does it say to score at 2 3/4″ on each short side? Have a beautiful day.

    • stampsnlingers

Hope you figured it out – it was a typo on my end! 🙁 I’ve fixed it now – and fixed the PDF, too! Thank you for letting me know! And – have an awesome time at Disney!! 🙂

  8. Angie

Hi Mary, I like the pink version too, but not because of the pink. I like it because you colored in her shirt. I think that’s better than the pattern. Both are fun overall, and I love it when you share upcoming sets from a new catalog!!

If I cannot see Finn’s photo, a baby is the next best thing to feature! 🙂 I look forward to more photos of Juliette and family. Congratulations to everyone!

  9. This is such a pretty card. The patterned background is lovely with that sweet image. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!

Thank you so much, Jen – and thanks for coming by! 🙂
