Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt Wishes Hand-Penned Petals

Good morning, y’all – did you have a good Labor Day? I ended up getting a lot done – cleaned, sliced and froze a bunch of baby Portabella mushrooms (did you know you could do that!?), bagged and froze the shredded cheese, finished a card tutorial for SplitCoast Stampers, did a Zoom the Craftroom and made a card for today!  So….good day all the way around!

My card is a CAS creation (no – I am fine, thank you for asking!) that features the Heartfelt Wishes stamp set from the Jul – Dec 2021 Mini Catalog, a little foliage from Hand-Penned Petals (2021-2022 Annual Catalog) and…some FREE Beautifully Penned DSP (from the Aug – Sep Sale-a-Bration catalog!).  Take a look-see:

I know.  I know.  Weird for me, right?  But…I really like it – and hope you do, too!

The layout is from the Inspire.Create sketch challenge this week.

And the color palette is from the Just Add Ink challenge!

This one is easy so..buckle up, buttercup!

I started with some Beautifully Penned DSP (get this pretty paper for FREE during Sale-A-Bration with a $50+ order before shipping and tax!) that I matted on Coastal Cabana for the card front.

On a strip of Basic White, I used my Stamparatus to stamp the Heartfelt Wishes sentiment in Night of Navy.

Near the right end, I stamped the dandelion (??) image from Hand-Penned Petals in Coastal Cabana.

I matted the panel on Coastal Cabana and then popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a couple of Coastal Cabana Playing With Patterns Resin Dots and the card front was done.  Told ya it was easy! 🙂

On the inside, I stamped the Hand-Penned Petals floral a couple three times in Coastal Cabana on a Basic White panel.

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Coastal Cabana mat and into my Night of Navy card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Hand-Penned Petals foliage on the front…

…and more of the Beautifully Penned DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I am mystified by only two things.  One – that I made this super-simple-super-clean-barely-an-embellishment-to-be-found card AT ALL!  And two – that I like it so much!  I absolutely LOVE the fonts in the Heartfelt Wishes stamp set – and the set covers so many card-giving-needs!!  And the Beautifully Penned DSP is gorgeous – and made even better by its free-ness!! Hand-Penned Petals – from the current annual catalog – is a huge fan-fave! 🙂

I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

I got a side-view of The Man the other day.

And – was a little appalled at what someone…me?…had done to his pantaloonies in their…my?…efforts to get all the tangles out.

You usually can’t really SEE it but… in this pose…

Sorta looks like…bloomers?

I probably shouldn’t quit being a SU! Demo to be a dog groomer, huh??

🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

  1. Absolutely stick with your day job even doing CAS…lol! If Finn had hindsight, you’d be in trouble!! Your card is so not you but it is lovely and the colors are great. Yes, do stick with being an SU demo. Have a blessed day. (I can’t believe all you accomplished yesterday AND I did not know about the mushrooms.) Remind me to ask about that tonight before the meeting gets going.

I know! Good thing I can make cards, right?? 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Thank you so much, Karen – it was good to see you this evening! 🙂

  2. Susan K

I’m mystified too but I too love it! I miss layers and FF bows but this clean and simple side of you is pretty awesome too…(as long as it’s not ALL the time!) I keep forgetting how much I love that font. That set is still on my want list. TFS
Poor Finn…he probably didn‘t want his face in the picture. His pantaloonies were his pride and joy. Bloomers are for sissies, Mom! 🤣

    • stampsnlingers

Bloomers ARE for sissies and he’s a MAN!! I know. It’s embarrassing, for sure! 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ Thank you so much, Susan – and yes, it’s a gorgeous sentiment set!

  3. Love the clean design on your card! Perfect colors too. As for Finn…well, it will grow back. 😉 The good news is that he doesn’t care one bit as long as you’re not chasing him with that darn brush. 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

True – the status of his hindquarters is of no real concern. The whereabouts of The Brush…IS! Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  4. Sometimes cleans and simple is just what we need and you certainly created a beautifully balanced classic design Mary! Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week. Kim
