Stampin’ Up! Heartwarming Encircled in Warmth for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

The sketch this week is a nice and simple one – so I decided to use a big focal sentiment – from the Encircled in Warmth stamp set – and some cozy paper from Heartwarming Hugs.  Simple!  Take a look-see:

I also picked some elements to use thanks to the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge.  I went down the left column Red – Die Cut – Friendship.

I started by matting a piece of Heartwarming Hugs on Bumblebee cardstock for the card front.  I matted a different design on more Bumblebee and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

I used my Stamparatus to stamp the pretty, big sentiment from Encircled in Warmth in Bumblebee on a piece of Basic White.  Then I cut it with the largest rectangle die from the amazing Stitched So Sweetly die set.

I wanted a little sumpin-sumpin more so…I stamped the little line of “x’s” from the Sweet Little Stockings stamp set in Real Red below the sentiment.   Then I popped the die cut onto the card front with Liquid Glue.

I added some Red Wonderful Gems and the card front was done!/

See?  Easy peasy!

On the inside, I stamped a Sweet Little Stockings sentiment in Bumblebee on a Basic White panel.  Then I added the Real Red “x’s”.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Bumblebee mat and into my Real Red card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got some more Sweet Little Stockings “x’s” on the front…

…and then added more of the Heartwarming Hugs DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I LOVE when a “holiday” set – like Encircled in Warmth and Heartwarming Hugs DSP – can be so easily used for a card to send to a much loved friend!  That means they’re so versatile – and deserve a spot on our stamp shelves and in our Paper storage!  And the Sweet Little Stockings set has more sentiments and images than just the sweet dog and cat-themed ones we think of right away!
