Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Place Encircled in Warmth Sneak Peek

‘Sup, y’all?? How goes your week?  We’re 1/5th of the way there, so…hang in there!  We’re starting to mold, I think – as I type this on Monday evening it sounds like it’s pouring.  Again!  Sure wish I could send it all west where they need it so desperately!  🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️

My card today is another sneak peek from the new Jul – Dec 2021 Mini Catalog.  AND it’s another Christmas card!  I’ll get off it in a minute – but…let’s pretend I’m playing Christmas in July – and…the challenge I played with really aimed me at this suite.  Okay?  That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it!

This one features the new Encircled in Warmth stamp set (coming on 3 Aug!) – which coordinates with the Encircled in Beauty Dies from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.  And the new Peaceful Place Specialty DSP was an obvious choice.  Take a look-see:

And here’s the FUSION challenge that inspired the card elements – I worked with the sketch AND the photo colors! 🙂

And I played along at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge, too!

This one is easy peasy!

I started by double-matting a buffalo plaid piece of the Peaceful Place Specialty DSP on a piece of silver foil (the “brushed” one) from the new Silver Foil Pack – it’s got three sheets in it and each sheet has a different “finish”.  I used the one on the left in this picture!

Then I gave the panel a second mat – this one in Misty Moonlight cardstock – to create the card front.

I cut a smaller second design from the Peaceful Place Specialty DSP, double matted it on the same Silver Foil and Misty Moonlight and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using the medium die in the Encircled in Beauty Die set – I cut a Misty Moonlight shape and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Next up, I used Liquid Glue to adhere a new Wonderful Snowflake embellishment – coming on 3 Aug in the Jul – Dec 2021 Mini Catalog – in the middle of the Misty Moonlight die cut.

I tied a loose figure-8 bow with some Misty Moonlight/Silver Baker’s Twine from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack (in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog) and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Encircled in Warmth sentiment in Merry Merlot and then cut it with a smaller Encircled in Beauty die.

Using double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals, I popped the sentiment over the bow on the card front.

I added some silver diamond shapes from the Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials Pack and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Encircled in Warmth in Merry Merlot on a Basic White panel.  Then I stamped the snowflakes from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set (in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog) over the top in stamped-off-TWICE Misty Moonlight Ink.  I added another Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials diamond, too.

I used Liquid Glue to double mat the panel on the Silver Foil Pack paper and Misty Moonlight, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got more Snowflake Wishes snowflakes in Misty Moonlight on the front…

…and more of the Peaceful Place Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Okay…maybe it’s not an in-your-face Christmas Card.  Maybe it’s more like a….New Year’s card?  Or a “happy winter” card?  I dunno – whatever it is, I think it’s pretty! I love the muted colors – Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, Black and Silver in the Peaceful Place Specialty DSP.  And the Encircled in Warmth set is cool – and the fact that it uses the Encircled in Beauty die set (which you can get right now if you don’t already have it with its bundled Encircled in Friendship stamp set in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog) – just gives you that little extra bang for your buck! 😉
