Stampin’ Up! Plentiful Plants Bloom Fun Fold with Video Tutorial!

Good morning and happy Friday!  Another week has just flown by – lots going on in the middle of summer, huh?  I know y’all are busy, too – so I hope you’ve got a little down-time planned for the weekend!

I made a fun fun-fold card, using the awesome Plentiful Plants stamp set and bundled Perfect Plants dies – plus the Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP.  And –  the Macrame 3D Embossing Folder added just the right touch to the front of the card.  Take a look-see:

The layout for the front of this one is from the FabFriday sketch challenge this week.

I started with a 5 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Garden Green cardstock that I scored at 1 1/4″, 4″ and 6 3/4″ along the long side.  Then I folded it to create the fun fold.  The 1 1/4″ fold is a valley – then a mountain at 4″ – and finally another valley fold at the 6 3/4″ mark.

I picked three coordinating pieces of the Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP (on sale right now with a 15% discount!) and matted them on Just Jade (or – Soft Succulent, which is what I used in the video!).  I adhered them to the narrow front panel – one of the inside panels – and the largest back panel.

I stamped a Plentiful Plants sentiment in Evening Evergreen on a panel of Basic White.  Then I added a Cinnamon Cider pot and Evening Evergreen plant.  I matted it on it’s Just Jade/Soft Succulent mat and adhered it to the middle inside panel.

For the front, I cut a Just Jade/Soft Succulent die cut using the largest of the rectangle Stitched So Sweetly dies.  I embossed that in the Macrame 3D Embossing Folder.

Using the stamps in the Plentiful Plants stamp set, I stamped two plant images in Evening Evergreen on Basic White, then cut them with their matching dies in the bundled Perfect Plants die set.  I also stamped a Cinnamon Cider pot and cut it out, as well.  And – I used the cool plant hanger die to cut a Gray Granite hanger.

Using Liquid Glue – I assembled the hanging plant.

I snipped a Paper Lattice down to size and adhered it to the front of the embossed die cut rectangle with Liquid Glue.  Then I adhered the remaining die cut plant with Liquid Glue.

I cut a couple of strips of the Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP and adhered them with Liquid Glue.

The sentiment, from Plentiful Plants, is stamped in Evening Evergreen on another piece of the Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP, cut with the smallest Stitched So Sweetly rectangle die and popped onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

FInally – I added the plant hanger assembly with Stampin’ Dimensionals – tucking it under the sentiment.

I added some 2021-2023 In Color Jewels in Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent here and there (on the front and on the inside!) and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got another Cinnamon Cider pot and Evening Evergreen plant on the front…

…and more of the pretty Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love this card!  The Plentiful Plants stamp set and bundled Perfect Plants dies are one of my fave things in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog!  I love that this card looks awesome with EITHER the Just Jade OR the Soft Succulent mats!  Which is YOUR favorite??

The Macrame 3D Embossing Folder and Paper Lattice adds perfect, organic texture!  And – this is a super wonderful – and super easy! – fun fold that shows off your favorite Designer Series Paper – in this case the Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP (which is still on sale!)!
