Stampin’ Up! Create with Friends and a Pattern Party!

Happy Happy Hawwwwwmp Day!  I do hope your week is going well!  I’ve been craft room rearranging and trying to tweak my layout a little while I finish the swap to the two new catalogs!

Yesterday, one of my teammates – Jaimie Babarczy – did a cool card for our Blog Hop.  She used the Create With Friends stamp set and made a totally awesome sentiment.  I loved it so much that…I sort of borrowed her idea!  I also used the Pattern Party DSP (sorry – it was just too perfect!) and the Dotty Hearts Embossing Folder.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the CAS Colors & Sketches challenge.

And the Inspo List from Festive Friday is a big reason that I gravitated to the Friends sentiment in the stamp set!  I ended up with Friendship Sentiment – Heart – Rhinestones – Pink! 🙂

I started with a piece of the Pattern Party DSP that I matted on Granny Apple Green for the card front.

I cut a Basic White square and embossed it in the Dotty Hearts Embossing Folder – matted it on Granny Apple Green, and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I cut a narrow strip of a second Pattern Party design, snipped banners in each end and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock, I stamped one of the sentiments from Create With Friends in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Then I cut it with a Stitched So Sweetly rectangle die and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the large Create With Friends sentiment in Tuxedo Black.  Then I stamped it a second time – just slightly offset – in Flirty Flamingo.  I love black and pink together, don’t you?? 🙂

Then I did a loose fussy cut.

I popped the fussy cut sentiment over the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used my Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blend to color three Champagne Rhinestones, adhered them with Liquid Glue and the card front was done!

On the inside, I embossed the bottom of a Basic White panel in the Dotty Hearts Embossing Folder.

Then I adhered a strip of Pattern Party, matted on Granny Apple Green, just above the embossing.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Granny Apple Green mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

The front of my Basic White Medium Envelope got some Flirty Flamingo hearts from the Pampered Pets stamp set on the front…

…and more Pattern Party DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I do love how that shadowed and fussy cut Create With Friends sentiment turned out (thanks for the inspiration, Jaimie!) and this whole card just makes me happy!  I was so tickled to get the Dotty Hearts Embossing Folder, too – there are TWO mini-folders in the set and they’re darling!  And…FREE DSP.  Yes – you heard me right!  The Pattern Party DSP can be yours for the low-low price of….FREE when you place an individual order of $180 or more (before Shipping and Tax).  And there are 48 SHEETS in the pack!  Yowza!!
