Stampin’ Up! Seascape Pastels Watercolor Thanks

Good morning!  Hope your week is going well.  Want to remind you that you’ve only got today and tomorrow to hit the Last Chance store!  Once July rolls around (Thursday) – all those goodies will be gone with the wind!

I’ve got a pretty little Seascape card for you today – and it features some watercoloring I did with the new Soft Pastels Assortment.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one was inspired by the sketch over at the Global Design Project.

And I pulled elements from the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge, too. I got beach (sort of!) – Blue – Watercolor – Fish – Red! 😉

I started with a piece of Shimmery White cardstock for the card front.

Using a craft knife, I scraped some of the Coastal Cabana pastel from the Soft Pastels Assortment onto an Acrylic Block.  I used my Water Painter to add some water to the powder – then watercolored some blue onto the card front.

When it was dry, I inked the coral from the Seascape set with my Bumblebee ink pad.  Then I used a Blending Brush to add some Calypso Coral to the stamp and stamped it over the watercoloring.

I inked the three-fish Seascape image in Mango Melody and added some Calypso Coral with the Blending Brush – then stamped it across the panel.  I repeated that a few times!

I used Coastal Cabana to add some “bubbles” to the scene.

Then I matted the panel on Coastal Cabana using Liquid Glue.

Using the banner-label die from Tasteful Labels die set, I cut a piece of Mango Melody Ombre Specialty Paper – and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I stamped a Seascape sentiment in Calypso Coral on a piece of Mango Melody cardstock, cut it with the same Tasteful Labels die and popped it over the sparkly die cut with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some Coastal Cabana, Mango Melody and Calypso Coral Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second Seascape sentiment in Calypso Coral on a Shimmery White panel. In the corner, I added the coral and more fish – all colored the same as on the front.  A few Artistry Blooms sequins rounded it out.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Coastal Cabana mat and into my Mango Melody card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Seascape coral on the front…

…and I put the sweet little fishes on the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  Stamping and paper – and dimensionals (of course!).  With a little bling!  I love the Seascape stamp set – even when I don’t use the gorgeous (bundled) Sea Life dies!  And – I’d missed seeing the Soft Pastels Assortment – but…they’re really fun to color with – and there are so many different WAYS to color with them – be sure to check them out!

I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

Mom, can we talk?

Is it true, Mom?!

Did you go to Tractor Supply AND Lowes today?

BOTH places that I am allowed to go?

Yes, son.  We did.  Cuz…we also went to some places you could NOT go – and…it was surface-of-the-sun hot.

I thought you loved me, Mom.

Kids often don’t understand….
