Stampin’ Up! Bamboo Beauty Encouragement Card with Video Tutorial

Good Sunday to you and Happy Father’s Day to all your Dads and Grand-dads out there!  Hope y’all got them something a little better than a tie.  Or…underwear! 😳😳😳

So – if you were able to join me last night for my Facebook live, I sure appreciate you spending part of your weekend with me (while baking that cake for the big dinner today….right??)!  If not, but you’d like to watch the replay to see how to make this pretty card, here ’tis!

The Bamboo Beauty is another one of those sets I call a “flyover” set – easy to thumb right by it in the catalog.  But…it’s so pretty, that I hope you’ll reconsider. It’s perfect for thank you, sympathy or encouragement cards – like I made with it today.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock and both bamboo stamps from Bamboo Beauty.  I stamped the larger image in Evening Evergreen and the smaller branch – at an angle – in Soft Succulent.

Then I added the larger Bamboo Beauty leaves image – inking it in Evening Evergreen and stamping it twice without re-inking – and the smaller leaf image in Soft Succulent.

I cut the image out with a Stitched Rectangle Die – then used Liquid Glue to adhere the remaining part of the panel to a Pale Papaya mat for the card front.

I wrapped a length of Crumb Cake baker’s twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack twice around the panel – securing it in the back with Glue Dots.

Then I popped the Stitched Rectangle Die cut back in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut a piece of Soft Succulent 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum with the larger circle die in the Tasteful Labels die set, embossed it in the Macrame 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card front with a Dimensional and a Glue Dot.

The sentiment, from Bamboo Beauty, is stamped in Soft Succulent on a Pale Payapa piece of the 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum.  When it was good and dry (and…it takes a minute – or help it with your Heat Tool on low!) – I cut it with another Stitched Rectangle Die.

I used a Glue Dot and a Dimensional to adhere it to the card front.  The Dimensional is placed where I knew I’d put a simple bow – tied with a double-length of the Crumb Cake baker’s twine.  The Glue Dot is hidden by an Evening Evergreen gem from the 2021-2023 In Color Jewel.  And that was it for the card front.

On the inside, I stamped a second Bamboo Beauty sentiment in Soft Succulent on a Basic White panel.  Then I added more bamboo branches and leaves in Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent.  I added one more 2021-2022 In Color Jewel, too.  Cuz…I could! 😉

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pale Papaya mat and into my Evening Evergreen card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got more Bamboo Beauty on the front…

…and on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Well?  Have I persuaded you?  I hope so – cuz I really like the quiet beauty of this Bamboo Beauty stamp set – the images are elegant and the sentiments perfect for so many card uses.  I love the quotes! 🙂
