Well – it’s Monday again and you may be back to work. Or…you know. Not? Whatever is on your list for the week, I hope you’re getting all geared up to git ‘er done! We’re getting tires put on the van this week. So – you know. THAT’LL be fun! 😉
I’ve got a not-my-usual-style card for you today. So…pretty clean and easy. Not a lot of bling. I used the fun Biggest Wish stamp set and some of the host-exclusive Pattern Party DSP (you can get this free by “purchasing” it with Stampin’ Rewards!). Take a look-see:
The elements in this card were inspired by the Just Choose Two challenge at Just Add Ink. I actually ended up using all three elements! 🙂
I started by cutting some strips of paper from the Pattern Party DSP – they’re all 3/8″ wide. Using Liquid Glue, I adhered them to a piece of Basic Black cardstock – leaving a little gap between them.
Here’s how it looked from the back.
I used my Paper Trimmer to cut the excess – then adhered the strip to a Basic Black mat with Liquid Glue – about halfway up from the bottom.
I embossed two pieces of Basic White cardstock in the “hello” folder from the Thanks & Hello Embossing Folders set and matted them each on Basic Black. Then I popped them onto the card front with Black Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. I aligned the top and bottom edges, and the sides – with the card front.
On another piece of Basic White, I stamped one of the big word sentiments from Biggest Wish in Pale Papaya. Over top, I added the second sentiment word in Misty Moonlight. Then I cut it out with a Stitched So Sweetly Die.
I used Black Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop it onto the card front over the DSP strip.
I added a few Matte Black Dots and the card front was done!
On the inside, I matted a strip of Pattern Party DSP on Basic Black and then to the bottom of a Basic White panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Basic Black mat and into my Pale Papaya cardbase, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the “hello” sentiment from Biggest Wish in Misty Moonlight and Pale Papaya across the front (I used my Stamparatus to make it all even!)…
…and more of the Pattern Party DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Well – not my usual jam, but..I like the pop of color from the cool Pattern Party DSP, don’t you? The Biggest Wish stamp set is the perfect bold complement.
And – you know…there are FORTY EIGHT 12″ x 12″ sheets of paper in that Pattern Party DSP pack (that’s a LOT of pretty paper!). This is a Host-Exclusive product – first time I’ve seen DSP as a host gift. You can ONLY get it with Stampin’ Rewards – which you’ll earn when you place an individual order over $150 or host a workshop at or above that total!
I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix
I co-opted Finn’s spot today to bring you a little different-kind-of-sweetness!
Two kinds, actually!
When we were coming back from Maui, our neighbor picked us up at the airport. On the way home, he told us that he and his wife – on one of the evenings they walked down to feed the girls – saw a mama dear and a brand new – like..still wet-new…fawn in our top pasture.
Of course I’ve been looking ever since – but…nada.
Until yesterday! 🙂
I even got a little video!
How cute is she?? 🥰🥰🥰
The second sweet thing is a little something I found thanks to my friend Sandra. It’s…honey! And its DEEE-licious!
I bought two kinds – Sourwood…
…and Goldenrod.
It’s pretty cool to have both kinds at once – they really DO taste totally different. I love them both…but the Goldenrod is my fave!!
Check ’em out if you like honey – in your tea. In your yoghurt…in your cereal. On a spoon straight from the jar! I have NEVER done that. 😉

You’re welcome!

A 1:13 video was hardly long enough 😉 They are so beautiful! TFS. Your card is so stylish. I love the way you raised up the two embossed panels. Worth of CASEing for sure!
I know – but she disappeared behind the trees!! 🙁 Thanks very much, Karen – have fun with it! 🙂
So pretty and so fun!!😊
Thank you, Akiko! 🙂
Love the design on your card! The strips of paper across the center are awesome!! Sweet little family hanging out at your place! Glad that you finally caught a glimpse! 🙂
I know! So glad we saw her before her spots disappeared!! Thanks so much, Amy! 🙂
Good morning Mary!
Loved the card…& the video!

Thank you so much, Sue – you are very kind! 🙂
Hey Mary,
Thanks so much for telling us about the honey!! Honey is an essential for my tea!! Orange blossom honey is my favorite, and I didn’t see that they sell that……but I ordered some goldenrod on your recommendation….and some blueberry flavored solid honey for bagels……oh yum…..!
Yes….the baby fawn is adorable!!
Your clean and simple card is a winner too!!
Faith
Sounds yummy! I had to stop ordering with the three bottles I got – but I LOVE spun honey!! Hope yours is yummy in your tea!! Thanks, Faith! 🙂
What an amazing card, Mary! You put a lot of time and effort into this with cutting out all those little scraps but it has paid off! The DSP is beautiful. Love those rainbow stripes.
They were pretty quick to cut! Thanks very much, Karen! 🙂
I love everything about this card! Another CASE for me. 👍
Sweet baby deer, and sweet mama deer too. ❤️
Thanks, Pat! CASE away! Yes – they’re so cute! 🙂
I love that embossing and the way you did the paper! Whole different card than if you’d just put the strip of paper on there! Why would my very-left brain never think of doing that?! Love those big words layered like that too. Great card. Super cute video of the fawn too. Bill’s retirement hobby was beekeeping. The bears loved it! 😳
I’d like to try bees – we have a ton around seems like we’ve got the flowers for ’em! Thanks very much, Susan!! 🙂
Great! Just keep distance. That mom will send you to the moon!
Oh yea. From all the way across the pond. In the house! Thanks, Mom! 🙂
Love the card as usual. Mix honey & peanut butter or almond butter. Roll into bite size balls and freeze. They are delicious.
Oh yum!! Thanks, Shirley! 🙂
Fabulous stripes, Mary. Love your card…& no need for bling on this one as there is lots of loveliness already. Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week. x
Thank you so much! Appreciate you stopping by! 🙂
I love your DSP stripes – it’s a lovely way to showcase the colourful DSP, that pop against the white panels. Chantell Just Add Ink
