Stampin’ Up! Sweet as a Peach Birthday for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with today and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

When I saw the sketch, I thought that a branch of peaches and flowers would work perfectly for it – so I pulled out the You’re a Peach suite with it’s Sweet as a Peach stamp set and bundled Peach Dies, and the stunning You’re a Peach DSP.  Take a look-see:

And…here’s our sketch!

I thought this one worked great with the Just Us Girls Trend Week challenge, too.

I started with a piece of striped paper from the You’re a Peach DSP and matted it on Early Espresso for the card front. Then I matted a second design on Early Espresso and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped some peaches from the Sweet as a Peach set.  This is a three-peach stamp and I inked it in Pale Papaya first, then used a Blender Brush to lightly add some Calypso Coral and stamped it onto the Basic White panel.  I used the same colors and technique on the pretty flowers, too.  For the flowers, I also added the little tiny “center” image in stamped-off-once Early Espresso.

I also did some leaves – inking them first in Pear Pizzazz and adding Garden Green with a Blender Brush.

Then I cut out everything with the dies in the matching (and bundled for a 10% savings!) Peach Dies.

On another piece of Basic White, I stamped the Sweet as a Peach sentiment in Calypso Coral, then cut it out with a so-cool Scalloped Contours dies.

See those pretty gold leaves – and the sequins?  Those are all from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack

I started building the layers of the collage – using Liquid Glue to adhere a die cut leafy branch – starting from the “top” of the cluster.  Then I simply added flowers and peaches – and gold leaves and berries from the Ephemera Pack.  Some of the peaches are popped up with Dimensionals.

I tucked the sentiment under the fruit and flowers, using Liquid Glue.  Finally, I finished with another gold die cut and the final flower on the right side of the sentiment.

I stamped a second Sweet as a Peach sentiment in Pear Pizzazz on Basic White, cut it with the little label die in the Peach Dies, then adhered it with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some of the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack sequins here and there (and in the center of the flowers!) and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added another sentiment from Sweet as a Peach in Calypso Coral on a piece of Basic White.  Then, I  inked the leaves image (Pear Pizzazz, then added Garden Green with my Blending Brush) and stamped it in the top corner.  This image has “gaps” to allow you to easily add the three peaches image – which I did  (Pale Papaya – then added Calypso Coral with the Blending Brush).  SO easy and SO pretty!! 🙂

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Early Espresso mat and into my Garden Green card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the peach tree branch from Sweet as a Peach on the front…

…and I added more of the You’re a Peach DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Sweet as a Peach bundle is a photopolymer set that lets you create – and EASILY cut out! – stunningly realistic looking peaches and flowers – and when combined with the gorgeous You’re a Peach DSP…well, you’ll be creating summer-succulent cards in a snap!
