Stampin’ Up! Brilliant Forever Greenery and Oval Occasions

Good morning and welcome to your week!  Hope you’ve got a good one lined up.  Mine is starting at the doc’s office for the physical that was slipped…and slipped..and…SLIPPED from last year!  When you’re reading this I’ll be trying to NOT be hangry (yes – fasting) and pretending I like my coffee black.  I don’t – I like it with creamer.  So…I’ll be happy when it’s about 10 and I can eat a granola bar.  And a second cup of REAL coffee!  😂😂😂

We had a great team meeting yesterday and did a few fun projects using the Butterfly Brilliance bundle.

Today’s card is NOT one of them! 😉  But you’ll see them in the next little bit, I promise!

Today’s card DOES use the Brilliant Wings die set – paired with the Oval Occasions stamp set and a little Forever Greenery DSP.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I used the photo from the Card Concept challenge to create this clean-and-layered card!

And – it was too fitting to NOT play along at CASology!

And – I’m also playing along with the Just Us Girls Trend Week Challenge!

I started with a piece of Basic White that I embossed in the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder.

I cut three narrow strips of Forever Greenery DSP and adhered them across the corner with Liquid Glue.

I trimmed the excess DSP and then matted it on Shaded Spruce for the card front.

I stamped an Oval Occasions sentiment in Tuxedo Black and cut it with the largest circle die from the Stitched Shapes set.

I colored the little leaves with my Light Just Jade Stampin’ Blend and adhered the circle to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using dies in the Brilliant Wings set – I cut several from a piece of Daffodil Delight Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP.  I adhered them all to the circle with little bits of Liquid Glue.

I added a single Shaded Spruce Holiday Rhinestone and the card front was done.

On the inside, I added a second Oval Occasions sentiment in Tuxedo Black to a Basic White panel and colored the leaves with the Just Jade Blend.  In the corners, I stamped some lucky shamrocks in Shaded Spruce.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Shaded Spruce mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got more Oval Occasions shamrocks on the front in Shaded Spruce…

…and more of the Forever Greenery DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! Butterflies are considered to be good luck (did you know that?!?) and, since they’re also super pretty, I think the new Butterfly Brilliance Bundle is pretty much perfect, don’t you??  And I love the pretty Forever Greenery DSP – so springy and bright.  Oval Occasions – with or without the bundled Double Oval Punch – is chock full of fun sentiments!!

I hope you like!

In case you’re not tracking – today is the LAST day to take advantage of my Butterfly Brilliance Special Bundle!!  Just sayin’…

Finn Fan Fix

The other day while we were working on the new garden beds, I looked over in time to see Finn (channeling White Fang, I guess) – leap ever-so-nimbly up to the top of a very large rock sitting nearby.

And then he looked around like he was a little surprised to find himself up there

Hmmm.  Might be some advantage to being tall!

Now….to get down…

We’ll likely never know what moved him to leap up there!

Maybe just cuz he could. 😉
