Good morning and happy Monday! We had a gorgeous couple of days here in north Georgia and have heard that the country is thinking about warming up so that’s all good. We even washed the van yesterday (along with 100 of our closest friends!) 😉
My card today is a reach-back to the awesome Dragonfly Garden bundle and pretty Dandy Garden DSP. This time, I also used a cool die cut panel from the Dandy Laser Cut Paper. Take a look-see:
This layout was inspired by the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches this week.
I started by matting a piece of Misty Moonlight Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP on a Bumble Bee mat with Liquid Glue for the card front.
Next, I cut a narrower piece – with the design going 90 degrees to the card front – and adhered it to a Bumble Bee mat of its own. I set these in place on the card front – no adhesive just yet.
I selected a panel from the Dandy Laser Cut Paper and positioned it where I wanted it on the card front.
Using the narrow matted strip as a guide – I put sticky notes in place to create a mask.
Once the mask was secure, I picked it – and the laser cut panel – up and removed it from the card front.
Then, using a Blending Brush, I colored between the mats with Bumble Bee ink.
I adhered the narrow strip to the card front with Liquid Glue, then popped the laser cut panel in place with small pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals. Hint: this part is a bit persnickety, not gonna fib ya. So…take your time – and then be sure that you line up the colored section of the panel with the DSP strip.
I cut a piece of Blackberry Bliss paper from the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP with the largest circle Stitched Shapes die and used Liquid Glue to adhere it to the card front.
On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the Dragonfly Garden sentiment in Blackberry Bliss and punched it with the Tailored Tag Punch – then adhered it with Liquid Glue.
The dragonfly is cut using the Dragonflies Punch (bundled with Dragonfly Garden) from one of the designs in the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP. I adhered it with Liquid Glue.
I colored an Opal Round with my Dark Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blend, adhered it to the sentiment and the card front was done.
On the inside, I added the wildflower image from Dragonfly Garden in Bumble Bee on a Basic White panel. Then I added some little dragonflies in Misty Moonlight.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Bumble Bee mat and into my Blackberry Bliss card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got more from Dragonfly Garden sweetness on the front…
…and another piece of Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! The Dragonfly Garden stamp set and bundled Dragonflies Punch will live on my favorites list for a long time – how about you? It’s just wonderful and is so pretty when combined with the two coordinating papers…Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP and Dandy Laser Cut Paper!

Love this card and how you put that BBliss circle on there. It’s those kind of layers that I don’t think about! Love your take on the sketch too. I got a new phone this week too but haven’t tested the low light capabilities…your seems to work great. Hope Wayne shared the popcorn!
