Happy Tuesday, y’all! We’ve had a spring snap (not trying to rub it in to my friends who are still cold and snowy!) and so it’s hard to stay inside and work! I even planted seeds inside to get them started. Too early? Well…maybe. But…couldn’t even resist!
My card today is one I did while we were chatting on my Zoom the Craftroom yesterday (I hope you’ll join us one day if you’re one of my customers who’ve ordered this month!! – and…it was nice to get a little feedback from my friends!). This is a pet sympathy card – nope – do not even need one right now (wheeew!) but it’s good to have one on hand, right? I used the pretty Vine Design Bundle, the Cat Punch and…the Heal Your Heart stamp set (free for a few more days until Sale-a-Bration ends on the 28th!!). All set atop some pretty Love You Always Specialty DSP. Take a look-see:
The color palette for this one is from the Inspire. Create Challenge this week.
And – The Paper Players challenge is a pretty obvious influence! I think it’s pretty clean and simple. 😉
I started by adhering a piece of the Sahara Sand paper from Love You Always Specialty DSP to a Rococo Rose mat with Liquid Glue for the card front. Then I matted a smaller piece and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I stuck a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock to a piece of Foam Adhesive Sheet. Then I cut it with the detailed rectangle die in the Flowering Vine Die set. I peeled the backing off and adhered it to the middle of the card.
I punched a black cat with the Cat Punch (sorry – Department of Redundancy Department! 😳) and adhered it with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Blushing Bride, I stamped the sentiment outline from Vine Design in Blushing Bride ink. I added a sentiment from the same set in Tuxedo Black and cut it with the matching die in the Flowering Vine set. Then, I adhered it with Liquid Glue.
I added a couple of Pastel Pearls and the card front was done!
On the inside, I added a sentiment – one of my favorites! – from Heal Your Heart in Tuxedo Black to a Basic White panel. In the corners, I added the vine from Vine Design in Sahara Sand ink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Rococo Rose mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Vine Design image in Sahara Sand on the front…
… and more of the Love You Always Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I really love the tone-on-tone that I got with the Flowering Vine die cut in Sahara Sand cardstock on the foil-embossed Love You Always Specialty Paper, don’t you? And Vine Design has several handy sentiments that fit perfectly in label die cut! Heal Your Heart – what can I say? It’s free with a $50 purchase for another couple of days. And it’s filled with perfect sentiments!

I found an extra starting tray in the barn, so I brought it back to the house.

Love, love, love this card! I can’t believe I have not ordered this stamp set and dies. Must have overlooked it somehow! It is next on my list.

Spring is on its way. It didn’t even freeze last night, which, after 2 weeks of single digits and below zero, is very welcome. However, along with that comes the MUD from all the melting snow.
