Stampin’ Up! Ornamental Merry Hello for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s a Pick-3-Colors challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I saw “Christmas” when I saw the five colors we had to choose from this week and decided to pull out the Ornamental Envelopes Bundle and A Merry Hello stamp set (which is a host-exclusive set!).  I added some Heartwarming Hugs DSP and…take a look-see:

Here’s our five colors – I pretty much chose Real Red, Bumble Bee and Old Olive!

I also used the sketch from this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge!

I started with a piece of Whisper White for the card front.  Using my Stamparatus, I stamped the top five ornaments from the large image in Ornamental Envelopes in Bumble Bee.  I did that by carefully inking just the ornaments that I wanted to stamp.

I adhered a panel of Heartwarming Hugs DSP to the bottom of the panel with Liquid Glue.

Next, I wrapped a length of Real Red 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim twice around the panel – securing it in the back with Glue Dots.  Then I tied a bow around the trim on the front.

I popped the panel onto a Bumble Bee mat with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped a sentiment from A Merry Hello twice – once in Bumble Bee and once in Old Olive.  I fussy cut the word “merry” from the Old Olive version.

Using one of the smallish dies in the Envelopes Dies – I cut the Bumble Bee version.  I edged the resulting sentiment “ornament” with my Bumble Bee Stampin’ Write Marker.

Then I popped the fussy cut sentiment in place with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and used a couple more Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop the sentiment over the wrapped Linen Trim.

Using my Bumble Bee Stampin’ Write Marker – the fine-tip end – I added a few little dots above the popped on sentiment (to mimic the “hangars”).

I added some stars and small dots from the All The Trimmings Embellishments and the card front was done.

On the inside, I added a second sentiment from A Merry Hello in Old Olive ink onto a Whisper White panel.  Then I added three small ornaments from the Ornamental Envelopes set in Bumble Bee ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Bumble Bee panel and into my Old Olive card base, added the card front with more Liquid Glue and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more small ornaments on the front…

…and more of the Heartwarming Hugs DSP on the envelope flap.  THEN – this is fun! – I used a die in the Envelope Dies to cut a scallop edge in the bottom of the flap!

Et Voila!  I love the Ornamental Envelopes bundle – with it’s fun Envelope Dies, don’t you??

And – A Merry Hello is a sweet little host-exclusive stamp set!

I hope you like!

PAPER PUMPKIN PAST KITS AND REFILLS AVAILABLE AGAIN SOON!

While constructing the new online store, Stampin’ Up! was required to temporarily suspend the offering of past kits and refills from Paper Pumpkin.  The online store functionality that allows them to offer these products is nearly ready to launch.  Paper Pumpkin Past Kits and Refills will be available once again beginning 26 October!!

On 26 October, available products will include the September Refills and October Refills!  Yay!  The cute fall treat boxes and the Christmas card kit refills will be there!  These products will only be available while supplies last and require a Paper Pumpkin subscription to order.

Once the Paper Pumpkin Past Kits and Refills have been made available again, Stampin’ Up! will continue to release new past kit and refill products each month as inventory and demand allow.  If you’re interested in purchasing these products, they’re typically released—if available—on the 4th Monday of each month.  So keep checking the online store for more refills and past kits!
