Stampin’ Up! Golden Tree Angle Christmas Wishes

Good morning!  Monday dawns again!  Hope you had a great weekend – and didn’t get too rained out.  Or DID get rain if you need it – we seem to be in a pattern of too much rain where it’s not needed and way not enough where it is.  Needs to even out some!I

I know it’s hard to believe – at least it is for me! – that it’s already the 17th of August!  THAT means that there are only TWO more days to take advantage of my Aug – Dec 2020 Mini Catalog Special Bundles!  Don’t miss out on the savings – once the 19th has come and gone – THEY will be, too!

Gone, that is.  In case it wasn’t clear what I was saying!

Today’s card uses the Tree Angle stamp set – which is sort of one of those fly-over sets in the new catalog.  But – it’s a fun little set – AND it coordinates with the Stitched Triangles Die set from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog.  Which you can get as a bundle with The Right Triangle Bundle (with its 10% savings!). Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s CAS Colours & Sketches challenge – I laid the sketch on its side!

I started with a piece of red foil from the Red & Green Foil pack and embossed it in the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder, then matted it on Early Espresso for the card front.

On a piece of Very Vanilla, I stamped three of the pretty tree images from the Tree Angle set in Versamark, sprinkled it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them!

I cut all the trees with the coordinating die in the Stitched Triangles Die set.

I also stamped three little trunks in Early Espresso and gave them a quick fussy cut.

I adhered each of the trunks to a tree with Liquid Glue.

I adhered the left and middle trees with Liquid Glue – then popped the final tree on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a bow with the Gold Trim from the Wonder of the Season Ribbon Combo Pack and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

On a narrow strip of Very Vanilla, I stamped the Tree Angle sentiment in Early Espresso – snipped some banner ends and then used Dimensionals to add it over the bow.

I added a few Gilded Gems and the card front was done!

On the inside, I heat embossed another of the Tree Angle trees in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder, and added an Early Espresso trunk.  Then I adhered a few Gilded Gems.

I adhered the panel to an Early Espresso mat and into one of the pretty Gold Cards from the Gold Cards and Envelopes set – popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

The envelope in the Gold Cards and Envelopes set is already pretty – so all I did was add the gold-embossed Tree Angle tree on the front!

Et Voila!  First off – the Gold Cards and Envelopes are gorgeous!  They’ve got a lovely sheen to them that ups the elegant factor without a lot of effort on your part!  And I really like how pretty the Tree Angle trees look embossed in gold!

I hope you like!

That red embossed foil is the perfect background for those pretty gold trees. Great take on the sketch.
That Finny—so good to keep you happy!

    • stampsnlingers

Yep – always thinking about others! Thanks much, Susan! 🙂

  3. Such a cute card! Love the foil background and foil touches on the card base. Poor Finn he looks like he thinks he’s in trouble in that last photo. 😉 Sometimes a dog just needs to get some fresh air and then he’s done. 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

Yep! And it doesn’t hurt to have the Mom waiting on you! LOL! Thanks, Amy! 🙂

As always, I love your Finn stories.

Oh, we know exactly how this goes!!! We have a cat that is constantly giving us that look……so it is “in & out” all day!! Someone gave us a stitched pillow that says “humans: an automatic door opener for cats!” How true it is! Great use of the triangles…..still need to think about that one!!
