Stampin’ Up! Best Buffalo Plaid and Daisy Lane Card

Good morning!  Hope the week is going well!

Bit of business news….for all my Catalog Share customers – if you’re expecting a few more embellishments to complete your shares…they’re on the way!  I dropped them at the Post Office on my way to the dentist yesterday.  So…yeah!!  And – if you’re wondering if I’m doing Shares for the 2020 Aug – Dec Mini – the answer is yes!  Look for those tomorrow, okay? 🙂

My card today is a bright little number – anchored by the sweet Daisy Lane stamp set and both Daisy punches.  I added a plaid background with the Buffalo Plaid stamp and the Best Plaid Builder Dies.  Take a look-see!

The layout and color scheme for this one is for the FUSION challenge this week!

I started by using my Stamparatus to stamp the Buffalo Check image in Balmy Blue on a Whisper White panel.  The Stamparatus is absolutely the way to go with these big background stamps, y’all! 🙂

Using one of the dies in the Best Plaid Builder Dies, I cut out a Pear Pizzazz grid, that I adhered to the panel with Liquid Glue, and trimmed the excess with my snips.  Then I matted the whole thing on Pear Pizzazz for the card front.

I used my Banner Triple Punch to cut banner ends in a Whisper White strip, then stamped the Daisy Lane sentiment in Balmy Blue.  Finally, I embossed the banner in my Subtle 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the large flower from Daisy Lane twice in Daffodil Delight on Whisper White and punched them with the Daisy Punch.  I did the same – once – with the smaller flower, punching it out with the Medium Daisy Punch.

I pulled out the awesome Sunflower Dies and cut a few leaves – two solid and two detailed – in Pear Pizzazz.  I adhered these together with Liquid Glue.  I also cut a few Whisper White branches.

I lightly curled the leaves on my daisies and adhered them together with Liquid Glue.  Then I build the collage!

I added a cool Gold Hoop with a single Glue Dot under the right side (where it’s hidden by the daisy), then I layered the leaves and branches – sort of weaving them in and around the hoop – adhering them with Liquid Glue.

I added the stacked daisy with Liquid Glue.  A few Gold Glitter Enamel Dots finished off the card front!

On the inside, I added a second Daisy Lane sentiment in Balmy Blue to a Whisper White panel.  Then I stamped the small daisy in Daffodil Delight across the bottom.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pear Pizzazz mat and into my Daffodil Delight card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more of the small Daisy Lane flowers across the front in Daffodil Delight…

…and a little Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP in Daffodil Delight on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love the Daisy Lane set…and Buffalo Check – especially with the added “bump” from the Best Plaid Builder die cut – is so cool!   And, of course, the Sunflower Dies.  Even without the big “star” of the show (uhm…you know…the SUNFLOWER??).  I hope you like! 🙂

  1. I really like these dies but, alas, I didn’t order…there always time and hopefully they’ll be a carry over. Your card is great with the daisies and colors. Katy is so cute and I know exactly what she’s up to!

They’re fun – and they’re in the annual so yep…plenty of time! Thanks, Karen! 🙂

  2. So pretty Mary! The colors are perfect, love the plaid background with the daisies. 🙂 Poor kitty, she’s starving for sure, you just need to feed her a little more of your food and she’d leave you alone. 😉

I know. It’s pretty awful how we treat her! 😉 Thanks, Amy! 🙂

Hi Mary…..can’t help but laugh at Katy…..and what she is about to do……I’m surprised Finn allowed that since FOOD is involved ….maybe it just points up who the boss is…..!!
Your card is lovely…..plaid and daisy flower, well, can’t get any better than that! The colors are lovely too.
