Stampin’ Up! 2020 Aug-Dec Mini Catalog Love of Leaves Sneak Peek!

Hey, y’all – happy (?) Monday!  I added the question mark just in case you’re not thrilled for the week to get back underway!

My Monday is likely going to be pretty average – with the exception of having to go to the dentist this afternoon for a crown prep. Bleh.

Thank goodness for nitrous, am I right?!?  Sooo much nicer than the suck-it-up-buttercup of military dentistry!  Novocaine?  We got that.  Gas that makes you not care when we GIVE you the shot?

uhm…nope. 😉

So this is much better all the way around!

My card today is a sneak peek of a wunnermus new bundle in the 2020 Aug – Dec Mini Catalog (formerly known as the Holiday Catalog) – I took inspiration from one of the pretty samples in the catalog!  You’re going to be able to get these on 4 August!  It’s the Love of Leaves stamp set which will be bundled with the amaze-balls Stitched Leaves Dies that I set atop the gorgeous new Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s Freshly Make Sketches challenge.

And – while it’s not really over-the-top feminine, for me it reads as a card for a woman.  So…the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge seemed perfect!

I started with a piece of subtle paper from the stunning new Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP that I ran thru the die cutting machine with the big stitched die in the Stitched Leaves Die set.  Look what it did!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Early Espresso mat.

Then I stamped some leaves from the Love of Leaves stamp set and stamped them on Very Vanilla in Bumble Bee, Crumb Cake and Mint Macaron.

I cut all the leaves with their matching dies in the bundled Stitched Leaves set.  Look what THEY leave behind!!

So…be ready to make projects using the negative space on this set, y’all!  And be sure to check out the stitching on the leaves – looooooovvvveee!!

I used Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the leaves to the card front.

I tied a little bow with some Copper 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon (from the new Basket Weave and Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack (also available on 4 Aug with the arrival of the new catalog!) and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

I stamped a Love of Leaves sentiment in Early Espresso on a strip of Very Vanilla, snipped banner ends and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a few Bumble Bee 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second Love of Leaves sentiment in Early Espresso on a Very Vanilla panel.  Over top, I added a leaf in stamped-off-once Mint Macaron.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Early Espresso mat and into my Mint Macaron card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got another Mint Macaron leaf (full strength) on the front…

…and more of the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Just go ahead and write it down right this second.  Love of Leaves.  Stitched Leaves Dies.

You might as well plan on ordering this bundle first jump out of the box on 4 August.  And – don’t forget the stunning Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP!

And – not for nuthin…want it right now?  Well…new demonstrators can select from the 2020 Aug – Dec Mini to fill their Starter Kit when they join now!  How cool is that?!?  Let me know if you want to join the team – I’d be tickled to have you on board!

Finn Fan Fix

I guess y’all know what Finny is a little bit…spoiled?

So it should come as no surprise that we let him lick dinner plates.

Soup bowls.

Salad bowls – he’s fond of pickle juice, what can I say?

Cutting Boards…

Cutting boards are slippery devils….

  1. Your card is stunning! Love that stitched/embossed edge, so cool! Finn..spoiled??? No way. 😉

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks so much, Amy. And no. Totally not spoiled one little bit! 🙂

  2. Susan K

Ah, the leaves are perfect for challenge sketch and so pretty. I love that embossing that I had no idea what it was from the catalog picture! TFS.
Finn looks like he’s mastered the slippery cutting board—not his first exposure to that special treat!

    • stampsnlingers

He’s a fast learner, for sure. Especially when it comes to corralling food! 🙂 Thanks, Susan! 🙂

  3. They say a dog’s tongue is cleaner than a human’s. I don’t mind at all that you let Finn lick whatever, however, I am sure there are some out there who would be APPALLED at that. I let the neighbor’s dog lick a plate now and then. (He is almost as spoiled as Finn.)
This set is at the top of my list to order next week. Love the leaves and agree with you about the Favorites. Autumn is my favorite season, and love the new fall-themed goodies!
