Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern Sneak Peek Hello!

Good morning!  In “normal” times (different from the “new-normal” times we’re in right now), I’d say – whoo-hoo for a short week!  I suppose that it’s still true – even if you’re working from home – you DO only have to do it for four days and then there’s another weekend!  Which means you only have to put your “work jammies” on for three more days.  I’m assuming you’re already “dressed” for the day! 😉

My card today is all about the new Forever Greenery suite – with its Forever Fern stamp set bundled with the Forever Flourishing die set and the Forever Greenery DSP – in the 2020-2022 Annual Catalog.  It’s one of my favorites (which, to be fair) is a pretty long list.  I have a LOT of faves in this catalog!  For this one, I added a few pieces of the beautiful Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one was inspired by the sketch side of this week’s FUSION challenge.

I started by stamping one of the pretty leaf images from the Forever Fern stamp set in Shaded Spruce on a piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock.  I also stamped the little splatter image in Soft Sea Foam all about, here and there!

Then I embossed the panel in one of the new Greenery Embossing Folders – the one with the leaves on top and bottom…being a Mini folder – it left about 1″ of non-embossed cardstock on the left side of the panel.

Which worked perfectly for my design!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere a strip of Forever Greenery DSP on the left side of the panel and to adhere the panel to its Shaded Spruce mat.  Then I covered the seam with a length of Just Jade 1/4″ In Color Ribbon, securing it in the back with Glue Dots.

I cut a Shaded Spruce leaf die cut with one of the gorgeous dies in the Forever Flourishing Die set, then I used Liquid Glue to adhere it, and a couple of laser-cut leaves from the Gold Forever Laser-Cut Specialty Paper.

On another piece of Soft Sea Foam, I stamped a Forever Fern sentiment in Shaded Spruce.  Around it, I added those splatters again in Soft Sea Foam.  Then I cut it out with the larger circle die cut in the new Tasteful Labels set (also coming on 3 Jun in the new catalog).

I tied a quick double loop bow from the wonderful gold twine in the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack and adhered it with a Glue Dot.  Then I adhered the sentiment over top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels here and there and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the big leaves image in Shaded Spruce on a Soft Sea Foam panel.  Next to it, I added a smaller image in stamped-off-once Shaded Spruce.  Then I added some more Soft Sea Foam splatters and Champagne Rhinestones.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Shaded Spruce mat and into my Petal Pink card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Forever Fern leaves in Shaded Spruce on the front…

…and more of the Forever Greenery DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love love love this Forever Fern stamp set and it’s wonderful bundled Flourishing Forever Die Set!!

And the Forever Greenery DSP is spectacular!

I hope you like – and are counting down the days till you can get it all for yourself!  And – FYI – you can get this bundle, along with even MORE gorgeous stamp sets and bundles in my Just Cuz They’re Beautiful Special Bundle!

Finn Fan Fix

On most mornings, I leave Finn on a “stay” in the barn while I lead the ladies around to let them out in the pasture.

Some days, I feel like maybe I’m being watched

Since I know for SURE it couldn’t be Finn watching me – cuz of how he’s in the barn where I left him…I know it’s just paranoia….

Or…is it?

THAT does not look like a “stay”….

Watcha gonna do when he comes for you…for you….

  1. Thanks for the earworm, a handsome dude and a beautiful card! I almost ordered more Garden Lane DSP even though it’s retiring BUT these patterns make my heart happy.

You’re more than welcome, Karen! Sing is ALLL day long! Thanks very much! 🙂

  2. Oh, that’s beautiful Mary! Love the colors and your layering is perfect! Hmmm…it does appear that “stay in the barn” is a rather loose term for Finn. 😉

    • stampsnlingers

It’s all a matter of interpretation, right??! Thanks so much, Amy! 🙂

  3. Charlotte Hutcheson

You start my morning out with a chuckle with Finn’s antics and your comments about him…and of course, the card is gorgeous…I too love that set and intend to order it next month. Your garden looks great…ours is okay as long as we escape the daily deluges and occasional hail.

    • stampsnlingers

Yep – we’re getting more rain than they like – so…we’ll see how they fare! Thanks very much, Charlotte! 🙂

  4. Faith Simpson

Mary, that is a gorgeous card…..perfection…..everything in that bundle goes together so perfectly. I love the collage look too.
As for Finn…..well, it must be extremely hard to ‘stay’ in the BARN when it is so gorgeous outside!! He’s just waiting for you to come back and sit and ‘stay’.

    • stampsnlingers

He figures he can SEE the barn, so…TECHNICALLY…. 😉 Thanks much, Faith! 🙂

  5. Finn knows on which side his bread is buttered.
Stunning card. Love everything about this..green, leaves, gold, embossing, die cuts, etc. Mine should arrive soon. Another CASE?

    • stampsnlingers

Have fun CASEing, Julie! And thanks very much – it’s an amazing Suite! 🙂

  6. Susan K

  7. Nan Arnold

Hello to you. Is Forever Fern stamp set and the die set to go with by chance still available?

    • stampsnlingers

Hey Nan – it’s not available thru the Online Store, I’m sorry! :(. You might be able to find it on Ebay or maybe Etsy! 🙂
