Finn Fan Fix
So – today’s FFF is a blatant brag on my oh-so-smart-and-obedient boy. Straight up proud-mama stuff. 😉
A little backstory. When I clean the stalls each morning – I can usually go three days before I have to run the manure spreader around the pasture – in the winter!! On Wednesday, even though the weather was pretty okay at that moment (ie: not raining cats and dogs) – I decided to NOT run it. It was only day 2!
Of course – I KNEW it would be pouring the aforementioned cats-and-dogs on Thursday. But…I still…didn’t.
On Thursday – as expected – I HAD to run the manure spreader. And – the dogs – the cats – all coming down.
I just saw a cat AND a dog come down, mom!!
Now, normally the Man goes with me so that he can galloomph around and sniffle and snuffle and splash in every mud puddle he can find.
But – I decided I didn’t want him to be a soaking wet mess. So….in a fit of “maybe I’ll get lucky and he’ll stay put”…I sent him to his mat at the end of the aisle.
And then I started the four-wheeler and hooked up the spreader.
And – he stayed on the mat! 🙂
I headed out and did my thing – glancing back at the barn every three seconds to see if he was standing at the gate in the pouring down cats-and-dogs.
But…when I pulled back into the barn…
…there he was. Right. Where. I. Told him to stay! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
Folks – that was a long-distance, out-of-sight, with a HUGE attraction (the four wheeler) down/stay!
I mean…SERIOUS props to my wiggle-butt!!
I gave him an extra peppermint! He TOTALLY earned that!
Now – it turns out that ‘bedience is EXHAUSTING!!
Next picture is gratuitous cuteness overload!
You’re welcome! 😉
Smart and cute all wrapped up in one furry package? I am a lucky mom!

Soooo much sweetness, cuteness, handsomeness and ‘bedience wrapped into one fur ball. Oh, those feet get me every time…let alone that face! Yes, you are a lucky mom and he is a lucky son! Thank you for sharing your lives with your fans. Your post is the first one I read EVERY morning. I’m a lucky downline and friend!
I am VERY lucky, indeed! He’s such fun to have around! Hope to see you tonight. And – thank you so much for the kind words – I’m awfully glad you picked me when you re-joined SU!! 🙂
Looking forward to your video tonight! Yay Finn!! Such a good boy. 🙂
See you soon – thanks, Amy! 🙂
Awww….Finn is such a good doggie…..and he did certainly deserve an extra treat!! For most doggies it is very hard to ‘stay’.
I’ll miss Facebook live this evening….invited to go wedding dress shopping with my granddaughter……and I don’t want to miss THAT!! I’ll watch a replay!!
Oh – yes – a Wedding Dress is WAAAY more important than a card making video! Have FUN FUN FUN!! Enjoy the replay. And yes – “Stay” is hard – and made even more so when the handler goes out of sight. So…I was pretty happy with him! 🙂 Thanks, Faith – have a great time tonight! 🙂
