Stampin’ Up! Parisian Beauty and Blossoms for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s a color challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

When I saw the challenge, I just sort of fell on the Parisian Blossoms Specialty DSP – it just made sense.  Since I hadn’t used the Parisian Beauty stamp set, with its bundled Parisian Dies – I thought this would be a great time!  And so…take a look-see:

And here’s our color challenge!

Since I already had the colors set for me, I looked for a likely layout and found one in the Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge!

And the theme seemed to fit right in with the As you See It Challenge!

I started with some Pool Party paper from the beautiful Parisian Blossoms Specialty DSP and matted it on Pool Party card stock for the card front.

For the strip of script-y DSP, I used a Stitched Rectangle Die.  But – it wasn’t long enough so…I ran it part way thru my die cutting machine…not letting the second end cut the paper.

…then I turned the whole platform around and re-positioned the die – putting the other end at the length I needed.

And ran it back thru – only going half way again.

When finished, I had the perfect length strip – that I adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

My heart is actually one of the new Heart Doilies – turned over and then stamped several times in Pool Party with the scripty image from the Parisian Beauty stamp set.  Then I adhered that to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Note:  I am seeing that it looks blue in the pictures.  It’s not – it’s white!  🙁

My oval is a piece of Petal Pink Perennial Essence Vellum – cut with a Stitched Shapes Oval and then embossed in the new Parisian Flourish 3D embossing Folder.  I used some Glue Dots to adhere it to the card front.

I created the Eiffel Tower next.  With the detailed die in the Parisian Dies, I cut the shape 4 times.  Twice in Pool Party, once in Basic Gray cardstock and the last one from Champagne Foil.

I adhered the two Pool Party cuts together in a stack with Liquid Glue.  Then I added the Champagne die cut on top.  On the back of the stack, I stuck some Black Mini Dimensionals – then I popped the stack onto the Basic Gray die cut – offsetting it a little bit to create a shadow effect.

I adhered the tower to the card front with Liquid Glue.

For the sentiment, I first embossed more of the Petal Pink Perennial Vellum in the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder.  Then I used a rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Die set to cut a backer for my die cut sentiment.  Once again, it wasn’t the size I needed.  So…I cut the rectangle and then cut it AGAIN – adjusting the die to get down to the size I wanted!

I cut the sentiment – which is a die in the Parisian Dies set – three times in Pool Party and stacked them up with Liquid Glue.  Then I adhered the stack to my Vellum rectangle with Liquid Glue.  I put a few double-stacks of Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the rectangle – hiding them behind the sentiment – and adhered it over the Eiffel Tower.

I used a Glue Dot to adhere a small bow tied from Petal Pink 1/4″ Metallic-Edge Ribbon, added some Champagne Rhinestones and the card front was done.

On the inside, I added a second Parisian Beauty sentiment in Pool Party on a Whisper White panel.  Over top, in stamped-off-once Petal Pink, I added the script image and a few of the fluer-de-doo’s….then I finished with a Champagne Rhinestone.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pool Party mat and into my Basic Gray card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more stamped-off-once script and fluer-de-doo’s….I also added the “Tower stamp” image a few times – with the “cancelled” lines over them – up in the top left-hand corner.

…and a little more of the Parisian Blossoms Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  How gorgeous is this Parisian Blossoms bundle with it’s stunning detailed Parisian Dies??

I love how this card turned out – the stacked tower looks so cool!  I hope you like!
