Stampin’ Up! Happy Breathtaking Bouquet Birthday To You Sneak Peek

Good morning, y’all!  Happy DECEMBER!!  Hope your weekend is going well – and if you’re one of the trillion people getting on the road (or in the air) today to head home – BE SAFE!!

If you were able to join me last night for my Facebook Live video, I appreciate you spending part of your Holiday Weekend with me!  If not, but you’d like to see the not-so-instant replay, here you go!

I saw this technique done by Jenny Hall, on a Splitcoast Stampers Wednesday tutorial, and thought it was really cool.  And also easy!  So…I used it to give you a Sneak Peek of a couple of new stamp sets in the 2020 Jan – Jun Mini Catalog and 2020 Sale-A-Bration catalogs.  I used the Breathtaking Bouquet background stamp (in the Mini Catalog) and the Happy Birthday to You stamp set (which will be FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration).  Take a look-see:

My color palette is from the Global Design Project challenge this week!

And it plays well with the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge!

Let me start by saying that the Stamparatus is a KEY player on this card – so…if you do NOT have one…I strongly urge you to get one now!  Especially given that you could get FREE SHIPPING from me… 😉

I started by placing a piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock into my Stamparatus and stamping the big and gorgeous Breathtaking Bouquet Background image on it in Crumb Cake Ink.

Then I placed an equal-size piece of Whisper White in the exact same spot and stamped IT in Crumb Cake.

Then I cut both panels down to 3 3/4″ x 5″.

I cut the Flirty Flamingo panel at 3 1/2″ from the top (along the long side).  Then I trimmed one inch off the bottom piece – making sure I cut the ALREADY CUT edge (I did not cut from the Bottom – but from the middle.  Watch the video to help make sense of that!).  I saved that 1″ piece!

I stuck the panels back into my Stamparatus and dry fit the two Flirty Flamingo pieces atop the Whisper White piece.  Then I arranged my sentiment from the Sale-A-Bration set Happy Birthday to You in the gap.  I removed the Flirty Flamingo pieces and stamped the sentiment several times in Mossy Meadow to get it as dark as I wanted it.

I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Mossy Meadow mat with Liquid Glue, then used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the two flirty Flamingo pieces in place.  All that stamping means…the image continues perfectly right across the gap!

I added a Linen Thread double-loop bow with a Glue Dot and a simple bow from Mossy Meadow Linen Thread (Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack) with a dab of Liquid Glue.  A single Rhinestone Basic Jewel by the sentiment and a couple under the bows finished off the card front!

On the inside, I added a second sentiment from Happy Birthday to You in Mossy Meadow on a Whisper White cardstock panel.  Across the bottom I adhered the 1″ piece from the front – matted on Mossy Meadow.  Then I surrounded the sentiment with some Crumb Cake dots from the Happy Birthday to You set.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mossy Meadow mat and into my Crumb Cake card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card front was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another sentiment from Happy Birthday to You in Mossy Meadow – and some Crumb Cake dots – on the front…

…and a piece of Flirty Flamingo paper from the Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  How gorgeous is this stamp?  Breathtaking Bouquet is SUCH an accurate name – it is just stunning!  And this simple technique shows it off to perfection – and lets the Happy Birthday to You sentiment take center stage!  I hope you like!  And…how long is that wish list getting, anyway?!?  The 2020 Jan – Jun Mini Catalog and SALE-A-BRATION will be here before you know it!
