Stampin’ Up! Christmas Countdown Project Kit with Video!

Mornin’, y’all!  I hope you had a great World Card Making Day WEEKEND!  I know we did!

On Saturday, we spent much of the day on Facebook – with demonstrations and giveaways and a rockin’ good time!  Speaking of giveaways – Amy has sent an e-mail to all the folks who won one of our prizes, so…if that is YOU…CONGRATS!  And – be sure to let Amy know your mailing address so we can get them sent to you, okay?

I did two videos on Saturday.  The evening video featured the new Christmastime is Here Suite (coming on 1 Nov) – and you can see that video and all the card cuts right here!

In the other video, I shared the awesome Christmas Countdown Project Kit!  I figured I’d give you a little more of the deets – and post that video here for y’all today!

I love this project kit, y’all!  Look how fun it turned out! 🙂

As I said in the video, I got it out of sheer curiosity – HOW would it come?!?  Would we have to put all the boxes together?!

The answer is a resounding…NO!

The box is fully assembled – and comes in a sturdy box that would be great for wrapping and gifting!  I am planning to put age-appropriate gifts into my finished kit and send it off as an early Christmas present! 🙂

Now – being that this is a Project Kit (not an All-Inclusive kit) – you’ll need to provide some supplies (Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals) – and the Christmas Countdown stamp set (and ink if you decide to stamp the box fronts!).

In the video, I tell you that you don’t NEED the stamp set – you could, in fact, complete the entire kit with the stickers and embellishments included in the kit.

BUT – the stamp set DOES give you more options for decorating the boxes.

Also – it’s a really cool stamp set (I’m bringing you some great little thank you notecards tomorrow – and it plays a prominent role!).  So… you don’t NEED it for the kit…but you NEED it cuz it’s great! 😉

Don’t need a Christmas Countdown calendar?

Well – decorate it for Halloween.  Or countdown to a birthday.

Or….RETIREMENT!! Hint: I’d put the 25 at the top for this one – with the 1 at the end.  Or…even the GOLD STAR!!

You could also use it to create an Embellishment Cubby!  Check out my video – I’ll show you a picture of the one Stampin’ Up! did!

I hope you’ll pick this one up, y’all – I think I’m going to get another one…or two!  They’re so much fun and just chock-a-block full of possibilities!

I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

Well – we’re finally seeing the cool-at-the-end of the summer!

I hope.

But – just a couple of days ago – not so much!  Hot as the dickens.

Wayne and Finn and I walked down to give the girls some water in the second trough (they’ve got one in pretty much every pasture!) and my water babies took the chance to play in the water!

I took a video.

Well – I put my phone on video and then…THOUGHT I pushed the button.  But I was late.

Here’s what I got!

  1. That countdown box is so cute! Love the idea to decorate both sides. 🙂 Those teeth! Ha! That’s too funny!!

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – it IS cute! And yes – their teeth are funny. Horse TONGUES, though…THOSE are the best!! 🙂 Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  2. I adore the project kit. I haven’t watched the video yet but once I do, I’ll probably NEED the kit. Question: which water baby is that and why do they have the blinders on…is that what they are called? Oh, that’s three questions 🙂 I always forget to push the start button too and lose the live moment I want capture.

    • stampsnlingers

Yep – it’s a pretty cool kit!! I think you WILL need it! 😉

That’s Cady – the “baby”. She’s a water-child and has been from the git-go! Her mama is, too – Cerah will stand under the hose for almost as long as you’ll spray her with it! 🙂 And those aren’t blinders – those are fly masks! You can’t see thru them very well from far away – but up close to their eyes (not touching, just close) – they see thru them just fine. Helps to keep the flies from congregating on their eyes. 🙂

We use them all summer long when they go outside – and take them off at night when they’re in the stalls and the flies aren’t bad. 🙂

      • One of the things I love about you is that you take the time to respond to questions and acknowledge each comment. I’m so glad to know the relationship between Cady and Cerah and now I’m informed about fly masks! Plus I love that you are my upline 🙂

      • stampsnlingers

Yep – they love each other. Just as long as Cady remembers “her place” – otherwise Mom has to be Mom! Thank you so much, Karen – I’m pretty darned happy you’re on my team, too! 🙂 🙂

  3. Faith Simpson

    Hi Mary,
I loved watching you “do” this kit on Saturday…….now I think I need a second one!! Loved what you-all did on Saturday even tho I had to miss a lot of it. I hope you do more of those all day events. I saw the video of the Christmas rose…..shoot……didn’t think I needed it, but you’re such a good demonstrator…..make me want everything!!
Loved seeing the horses….wow, they do have big teeth…..lol. We haven’t settled into real fall weather yet either.

    • stampsnlingers

Thank you, Faith – that’s very nice of you to say! We all had a great time and I’m glad you were able to watch at least some of the videos!! Yes. Yes they do have big teeth – so it’s best to keep fingers clear! 😉

  4. Being a farm girl I knew those were to keep the flies off their eyes. Hey, I love this countdown kit. Can’t wait to get started on mine for the GreatGrands. Will put 2 (one for each child) small gifts, or candy, or money, in each box. Also might have to get a second one for the embellishments. They are SO hard to corral, then find when you need them!
I really enjoyed the WCMD videos, and the things one which to comment, but apparently didn’t win anything. 🙁
Did you get your new issue of Our Iowa yet?

    • stampsnlingers

Winner winner!! Glad you recognized the fly masks! Sounds like a great plan for the grands – and yes – it also looks to be a great way to corral those embellishments!! I have got the new issue – just haven’t settled down to look it thru, yet! Looking forward to it! Thanks, Julie! 🙂

  5. Susan K

Oh drats! I knew if I watched your video I’d have to have the countdown boxes for the girls. I’ve debated but better go order them now before all the WCMD viewers and your blog readers snatch them up! As for things for the one-year old, don’t forget rubber duckies or water toys, favorite teething biscuits, small bottle of bubbles (he can blow or pop them), those little glow in the dark stars for his wall, a punching balloon (dad blows it up, he hits it)…definitely 25 things for one year olds. Mom & Dad will love it too. 😁

    • stampsnlingers

You’ll be glad that you got it – and so will they, Susan! Also – I am copying your suggestions and putting them in my Notes. Cuz they’re awesome!! Thank you so much!! 🙂 🙂
