Stampin’ Up! Harvest Hellos Gather Together For a Special Celebration!

Well.  It’s here!  FRIDAY!  Yup – you’ve made it thru another week!  AND – you’ve got our World Card Making Day FB Event to look forward to tomorrow! And – you’ve still got time to pick up some new goodies from Stamp-N-Storage at 15% off – with FREE shipping!  Check it all out right here!

But – first off – let’s take a look at the collage-card I made for you today, using the Harvest Hellos and Gather Together Bundles from the Holiday Catalog, on top of some pretty Come To Gather DSP, with sentiments from the Special Celebrations stamp set.  Take a look-see:

I played along with The Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe challenge (I LOVE tic-tac-toe challenges!).  I went across the top!

I started with three patterns from the Come To Gather DSP and matted them all on Pool Party.  I angled the two smaller ones, adhering them with Liquid Glue to create the card front!

I stamped the pumpkin from Harvest Hellos in Pear Pizazz on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock.  Then I colored that with my Pool Party Stampin’ Blends Combo and punched it with the bundled Apple Builder Punch.

I stamped the little tendril and a sentiment from the Special Celebrations stamp set (Annual Catalog) in Pretty Peacock.  I also stamped the stem in PP and colored it in with my Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Write Marker. Yes – just the other day I saw a pumpkin at the grocery store with a Pretty Peacock stem.  It’s a REAL THING!

With the Gathered Leaves dies (bundled with the Gather Together stamp set), I created some leaves.  For the first leaf – I pressed the leaf emboss/cut die into my Pretty Peacock ink pad and then used the inked die to cut a Pool Party leaf.  I cut the second leaf without cleaning the die – creating a different level of color!

I also cut a large leaf from some Pretty Peacock foil in the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets.

Finally – I cut two leaves in Pear Pizzazz using a die from the Lovely Leaves dies and some Vellum card stock berries using the die from Frosted Bouquet Dies.

With all my pieces and parts cut and ready to roll – err….adhere!…I got started!  I used Liquid Glue to adhere some of the leaves – then a tag from the Tags & Feather Elements.  I used a little more Liquid Glue – and doubled-up Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiment pumpkin.

I added the final leaf and a Linen Thread double-loop bow, popped on some green gems from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones, and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second Special Celebrations sentiment in Pretty Peacock to a Very Vanilla panel.  I continued the collage-theme with some Pear Pizzazz pumpkins from Gather Together – using masks that I fussy cut from Sticky Notes (KEEP these for your next card!!).  Here’s how I did it: I stamped the large pumpkin in Pear Pizzazz – then covered it with its mask.  I stamped the double-pumpkin in Pear Pizzazz – then covered it with ITS own mask.  Then I stamped the “wheat” in Pool Party and the splatter image in stamped-off-once Pool Party.  I removed the masks and colored the pumpkins with my Pool Party Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pool Party mat and into my Pretty Peacock card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got a repeat of the stamped collage on the front…

…and then I added more of the Come To Gather DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Pulling out my Special Celebrations stamp set let me use sentiments for non-Thanksgiving/non-Fall occasions!  Love the Harvest Hello and Gather Together bundles SO much – and isn’t it nice that they can be used for so many reasons??  I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

On Thursday, Wayne and I spent most of the day outside working on some modifications to the barn.  Cuz…you know.  It’s been like a thousand degrees Kelvin outside, so…why not tear off some metal roofing and replace it?  Sure!

Well – with the aforementioned ridiculous heat…I left Finn inside – and didn’t kennel him.

Cuz…of how trustworthy he is! 🙂

Well.  I guess he spent most of the day figuring out…

I caught him red-pawed on the OTHER side of the impenetrable fence.

He’s tried to deny it, of course, but…each of the three bowls had two compartments licked completely clean.  And four with crumbs.

Red.

Pawed.

Sigh…back to the drawing board!

And – his loose-in-the-house-unsupervised privileges are officially revoked! 😉
