Stampin’ Up! #ELFIE for the Happy Inkin Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s Hop is a sketch challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone comes up with –  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop!

I’ve been looking at the adorable #ELFIE stamp set for a minute now – and finally decided it was PAST TIME to get it inky!  So…I did and paired it up with the pretty (and sparkly!) Let It Snow Specialty DSP.  Take a look-see:

And here’s our sketch! 🙂

I started with some of the Let It Snow Specialty DSP, matted on Flirty Flamingo for the card front – and for the next layer of the card as well.  All adhered with Liquid Glue!

For the sentiment panel, I used a piece of Whisper White.  Near the bottom, I stamped a sentiment from #ELFIE in Real Red.  On the other corner – there are two presents from the set, stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

I colored the presents with my Dark Pool Party and Light Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends.

I added snowflakes – from #ELFIE – in Pool Party across the remainder of the panel.  Using my Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker, I made some of the snowflakes red to mirror the DSP panel.

I matted the panel on Flirty Flamingo and added a length of Shaded Spruce/Gold 3/8″ Striped Ribbon, securing it with SNAIL and Glue Dots.

I popped the panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On another piece of Whisper White, I stamped the cute #ELFIE image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I colored him with my Stampin’ Blends: Light and Dark Shaded Spruce and Real Red; Dark Pool Party; Light Pineapple Punch; and Ivory.  Then – I fussy cut him!

I popped him onto the card front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals – added a couple of Red Basic Rhinestone Jewels (his buttons!) – and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment in Real Red on a Whisper White panel.  Then I surrounded it with more Pool Party snow – touching up some of the flakes with my Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Flirty Flamingo mat and into my Real Red card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more snow on the front…

…and more of the Let It Snow Specialty DSP on the envelope flap!

Et Voila! #ELFIE looks pretty confident, doesn’t he – as he lounges under the Workshop sign, that Santa will be all ready in just a couple of months (wait…WHAT!?!)!  And I love the color combination, inspired by the pretty Let It Snow Specialty DSP.  I hope you like! 🙂
