Stampin’ Up! Dandelion Wishes and Magnolias

Happy Friday, y’all!  Are you ready for a weekend?  I am – you’d think this had NOT been a four-day week! 🙂

So – we’ve been invited to an…odd?…party in a couple of weeks.  Apparently there’s going to be food and drink and games and karaoke and a wedding and some prizes and…wait.  What now?

A wedding?

Yes.  A wedding might “break out”.  Like…a flash-mob?

I haven’t a clue.  But – like military wives of yore (at least I HOPE it’s all “yore” now!) – I’m going to – figuratively – have my white gloves in my purse.  JIC.

In this instance, my “white gloves” will be a wedding-appropriate card just waiting to be signed.

You know.  If a Wedding. Breaks. Out. 😉

It was actually pretty quick and easy and uses one of my favorite (and carrying over!) stamp sets – called Dandelion Wishes.  And I paired it with some new Magnolia Lane DSP!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one comes from this week’s Inspire. Create Challenge.

And the colors are from the photo at the Card Concept challenge.

I started with some pretty paper from the Magnolia Lane DSP and matted it on Mossy Meadow for the card front.

The sentiment, from Dandelion Wishes, is stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a second design from Magnolia Lane.  Over the top, I stamped the dandelion image in Smoky Slate.

I cut the sentiment with a square Stitched Shapes Framelits die and matted it on Mossy Meadow.

Using Glue Dots, I adhered a length of 3/8″ Linen Ribbon from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack.  Then I popped the matted sentiment over the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I made a Double Loop Billie Bow with the Mossy Meadow Linen Thread that’s in the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack and adhered it with a Glue Dot.  Over top is a bow made with the Linen Ribbon.

I tucked a couple of silver Leaf Trinkets under the bow/sentiment with Glue Dots and the card front was done!

On the inside, I used the second dandelion image from Dandelion Wishes and added it in stamped-off-once Smoky Slate to a Whisper White panel.  Over the top I added a second Dandelion Wishes sentiment in Tuxedo Black.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mossy Meadow mat and into my Petal Pink card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got the Smoky Slate dandelions on the front…

…and more of the Magnolia Lane DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I was SO tickled that Dandelion Wishes is carrying over – I just love those pretty images!  And they seem to work really well with the new and wonderful Magnolia Lane DSP, don’t you think?  I hope you like!
