Stampin’ Up! Delightful Day Sneak Peek

Whoo-hoo!  It’s Friday – and the Friday-before-a-three-day-weekend at that!  I hope you’ve got plans for the weekend!  Me?  I’m getting a hair cut.

Yes – I really know how to have a blast, huh? 😉

I might go crazy – since it’s a holiday and all – and get some highlights!

Oooohhhh!!!  That’s cray-cray, Mary!  You wild-and-crazy girl!

In a not-so-cray-cray manner…let’s look at a super quick and super easy little note card, shall we?!?  I took inspiration from a sample in the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog and used a soon-to-be-available stamp set called the Delightful Day set, a new Scalloped Note Card and Envelope in Light Pink, and some Bird Ballad DSP – all coming on 4 June!  Take a look-see:

I started with the Light Pink Scalloped Note Card and, using the stitch die from the Stitched Labels Framelits (actually – these are available right now!), ran it thru the Big Shot to create the “stitching” just above the scallops on the front of the note card.

Next, using the Delightful Day stamp set, I stamped the leaves image in Mossy Meadow and then came back with the flowers image in Pretty Peacock.

I used my Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Write Marker to color in the leaves and a non-SU! White Gel Pen to color the little dots.

I cut a piece of Bird Ballad DSP and adhered it to the inside of the card with Liquid Glue – and that was it for the card front!  Tip – if you’re using a designer paper with a distinct right-side-up (like I did!) – do take a minute to be sure it will, in fact, be right-side up when you open the card!  You’ll see what I mean in just a second!

On the inside, I stamped the big sentiment image from Delightful Day in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Then I colored in all the little diamonds with my Petal Pink Stampin’ Write Marker.  And that was all this little note card needed!

See what I mean about the right-side-up-ness of the DSP?? 😉

The matching Scalloped Note Card got more of the Delightful Day flowers on the front – but this time I did NOT color the dots…

…and I added another flower on the flap!

Et Voila!  I love this cute little Delightful Day stamp set – the sentiments and flower images are really great.  And – how sweet are these note cards?  This pack of Scalloped Note Cards and Envelopes will come with 20 cards and envelopes – 5 each in Balmy Blue, Light Pink, Old Olive and Terracotta Tile.  And you can try one set of each color when you buy my 2019-2020 Annual Catalog Single DSP Share (or TWO of each if you get a Double DSP Share).  Hope you like! 🙂
