Stampin’ UP! His Grace for Easter

Well – we did it!  Got to Friday again!  Guess where I’ll be NEXT Friday!?  Yep – on my way down to Charlotte for OnStage!  I am so excited – both for the event AND to see all my friends in my team – and the folks I’ve met in the almost 5 years I’ve been in Stampin’ Up!  AND – I’m super excited to be able to share sneak peeks of the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog goodies!! Whoo-hoo!!

(Gotta practice my whoo-hoo-ing, you know!)

So – I recently added a beautiful stamp set from the 2019 Occasions Catalog called His Grace to my stash.  And I decided it was time for an Easter card – so…that’s what I did.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one comes from this week’s As You See It sketch challenge!

I started with a piece of Crumb Cake card stock and, using my Stamparatus, I stamped the large and lovely flower garland image from His Grace in Soft Suede – twice – once on each end.  Then I used my Blender Pen to color the flowers with Whisper White Craft Ink and the leaves in Mossy Meadow.  I picked up ink from the lids of the ink pads with the Blender Pen to do this!

Then I added some faux stitches with my Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Marker, and matted it on Merry Merlot for the card front.

I used the long edgelit die from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits die set to cut edges on a strip of Merry Merlot and one (smaller) in Whisper White.  I adhered them together with Liquid Glue and added them to the card front.

With Glue Dots to secure it in the back, I added a length of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon around my “lace”.

Again using my Stamparatus, I stamped the dove image from His Grace in Soft Suede on a piece of Crumb Cake.  Then I colored him with the Blender Pen using Craft Whisper White and Mossy Meadow.  When the image was good and dry, I came back with the sentiment in Mossy Meadow.  Then I cut it out with the Starburst Punch and added faux stitches in Soft Suede.

I matted it on a Stitched Shapes Framelits circle in Merry Merlot and a Pearlized Doily, then popped it over the ribbon and “lace” with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I made a Double Loop Bow with Linen Thread – but I ran out after the first four loops.  So…I made the four smaller loops with Old Olive Linen Thread!  And I love how that turned out – a very happy “problem”, indeed!  I adhered the bow with a Glue Dot, added a Pearl Basic Jewel and the card front was done!

On the inside, I layered up a second sentiment in Mossy Meadow with the dove and the single flower in Soft Suede on a Crumb Cake panel.  I colored the images with the Blender Pen – and added a Pearl Basic Jewel and faux stitches with my Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Marker.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Merry Merlot mat and into my Mossy Meadow card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a single flower in Soft Suede on the front – I colored the leaves in Mossy Meadow and left the flower white…

…and the small dove on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Love love love the His Grace stamp set – the images are gorgeous (that garland!!) and I really like the sentiments!  I don’t know if this one will carry to the next catalog – I hope so, but… – so if you love it – get it quick like a bunny! I hope you like!
