Stampin’ Up! All That You Are Gingham for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today is ALSO our friend (and team leader!) Amy’s birthday! Happy Birthday, Amy!!

Today’s Hop is a sketch challenge – plus, the rest of us took a secret vote and added a “birthday” theme to the challenge to celebrate!! I’m excited to see what everyone comes up with –  I just know you’re going to see a ton of birthday awesome-ness on the hop.

The sketch made me take a step back for a minute until my brain started to see an idea.  I pulled out the All That You Are stamp set – with the coordinating Frosted Bouquet Framelits – and some Gingham Gala 6″ x 6″ DSP in Highland Heather.  Take a look-see:

Here’s the sketch – you might have to squint yer eyes a little to see it in my card! 😉

And I pulled the color palette from this week’s Sunday Stamps challenge.

Our secret birthday theme fits right in with the Watercolor Wednesday Challenge this week, too! 🙂

I started with a piece of Whisper White card stock, embossed it in the Country Floral Dynamic TIEF and then cut it down to the final size for my card front.  Then I matted it on a Highland Heather piece of Gingham Gala 6″ x 6″ DSP.

For the art, I used my Stamparatus to stamp the big gorgeous image from the All That You Are stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a narrow piece of Whisper White.

I added a few stamped All That You Are leaves in Soft Sea Foam around the image.  Then I colored the large image with my Dark and Light Daffodil Delight, Mint Macaron and Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends.  Then I matted the panel on Gingham Gala DSP.

On a separate piece of Whisper White, I stamped a couple of large and small flowers in Tuxedo Black.  They’re colored with the Balmy Blue and Daffodil Delight Blends, then cut with their matching dies from the Frosted Bouquet Framelits.

I stamped the flower image in Daffodil Delight on Whisper White – then I added the sentiment over top in Tuxedo Black and cut it with the Frosted Bouquet Framelit die.  I also cut some Soft Sea Foam leaves.

I popped the panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then I built the collage – adhering leaves and flowers and a strip of Gingham Gala DSP with Liquid Glue.

I used Glue Dots to adhere a length of 5/8″ Whisper White Flax Ribbon over the flowers and DSP.

I popped the sentiment “flower” on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added the final flowers with Liquid Glue.  I added a simple bow from Mint Macaron Nature’s Twine, using a Glue Dot, and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added part of the large All That You Are image on the inside in Tuxedo Black, along with some Soft Sea Foam leaves.  Then I colored it with my Stampin’ Blends.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Gingham Gala mat and into my Daffodil Delight card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more All That You Are flowers on the front…

…and some Gingham Gala DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  All That You Are is SUCH a pretty stamp set – and it’s really gorgeous when it’s set atop some Gingham Gala DSP and the wonderful Country Floral Dynamic TIEF embossed panel.  I hope you like!
