Stampin’ Up! Just Because Four Seasons Thinking of You

Well – good morning, y’all!  I hope your week is looking to be a good one!  I’ll head in this morning and start to see where we’re at with our test, and hopefully get a feel for how my schedule is going to look for the next few weeks!

My card for today uses the Four Seasons Sale-A-Bration Coordination Framelits and the Painted Seasons stamp set.   Plus, the uber-gorgeous Painted Seasons DSP!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I started with a panel of Whisper White and used Liquid Glue to adhere a short piece of Painted Seasons DSP to the bottom, then I matted it on Grapefruit Grove for the card front.

I used more Liquid Glue to adhere a Pearlized Doily and a Grapefruit Grove Colored Doily in a stack over the card front.

I used a short strip of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon and adhered it across the seam in the paper with Liquid Glue.

On a separate piece of Whisper White, I stamped a couple of leaves from the Painted Seasons stamp set in Call Me Clover, using my Stamparatus.  I inked the stamp, stamped it off once and then stamped my card stock.  Then I used a Sponge Dauber to darken just the edges and re-stamped it a couple of times.  That got the tone-on-tone look.  The second leaf used the same technique, but I sponge-daubed with Lemon Lime Twist ink.

Then I cut them both out with their matching die in the Four Seasons Framelits.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the leaves to the card front.

For the art piece, I stamped the flower pot from the Just Because host-exclusive stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Whisper White.  I masked over the sentiment – didn’t need it just yet!  I cut the pot and foliage with a Stitched Shapes Framelits die.  The leaves are colored with my Dark and Light Call Me Clover and the pot with the Dark and Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin’Blends.

I popped the circle on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment, which is on the bottom of the stamp with the flower pot in the Just Because set, was stamped in Grapefruit Grove and cut with the Story Label Punch.  I popped it on with Stampin’ Dimensionals, too.

To finish up, I added a double-loop bow in Linen Thread and a little bow of Grapefruit Grove Nature’s Twine, bothe adhered with a Glue Dot.  And a single Share What You Love Artisan Pearl on the sentiment.

On the inside, I adhered a narrow strip of Painted Seasons DSP to the bottom of a Whisper White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Grapefruit Grove mat and into my Early Espresso card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another Painted Seasons leaf in Call Me Clover and Lemon Lime Twist…

…and the envelope flap is adorned with more Painted Seasons DSP.

Et Voila!  So…in case y’all aren’t tracking the dates on your calendar very well, Sale-A-Bration is almost over.  Like…in just two weeks!  Whew – hard to believe!  BUT – that means that the Sale-A-Bration goodies you see in this card will be GONE FOR GOOD!  Painted Seasons stamp set AND the gorgeous DSP!  And the Four Seasons Framelits.  You can see how nicely they coordinated with un-related stamp sets, yes?  So…you’re going to want to be sure you’ve got these when SAB ends on 31 March.  I hope you like!

The other thing that will be ending SOON is your chance to pick up the extra-large Starter Kit!  Get $175 worth of goodies for $99 – versus the normal $125!  And you can pick that awesome Craft & Carry Tote!  Don’t miss out, okay?

Finn Fan Fix

So – as you’re aware, Finn and I are separated by several states.  Which means I won’t have new pictures for you until I can get home!

I’ll post some oldies-but-goodies just so you’ve got a little sumpin’-sumpin’ to tide you over.

See what I did there?  I’m in MARYLAND.

By the ocean.  Ish.

Well – there are seagulls everywhere so…I’m close as the gull-flies!

Anywho.  TIDE you over.

Get it? 😉

Oh Moooooaaaaammmmm! 🙄🙄🙄🙄

  1. Pretty card! Love the layering, perfect DSP too! Sorry that I missed the majority of the video. Looked like the hotel WiFi wasn’t very cooperative either. Glad that you’ve got a few Finn photos to hold you over while you’re away! 🙂

Yes – appears it was being persnickety! Hopefully that won’t be the case next weekend! Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  2. I must admit I was a little slow on the uptake…I was too enamored and amazed by the craft space you created! You and Wayne must be packaging engineers to get all your stuff packed into the car. I was happy you put the video on FB because I couldn’t keep a connection last night. Thank you for sharing a day in the life…may the days pass quickly for you in your home away from home.

Thanks, Karen – I guess the internet was being a little fickle last night! Glad you were able to watch the replay! 🙂

  3. Kate

    Pretty!
Except for those states in between, looks like a pretty good spot you have set up!

A really lovely card… . And I just watched your fb video from last night. Your new digs look so do-able. Nice that you can come home from work, kick back and stamp- stamp – stamp..

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – like I said on the video – I’m getting good at these away-from-home craft “rooms”! Maybe…too good?!? Thanks much, Kay! 🙂
