Stampin’ Up! Share a Well Said Ride!

Happy Hawwmp Day, y’all!  The week is progressing – too fast for once – to the weekend.  Before I know it I’ll be headed to the airport to pick up the rental car and bringing it home to pack!  The only real question is whether my list of gotta-get-dones will be got-done by then! 😉

A little admin-y stuff first…I’ve got new info below about some die sets that are in danger of going “not orderable” due to the high demand we’ve experienced.  Take a look and if something you were wanting is on the list…hop to it!  I don’t think they’ll last long…

Okay – My card today is a super easy fun-fold that I made for a friend.  I used some Share What You Love Specialty DSP and the wonderful Let It Ride and Well Said stamp sets.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the Inspire. Create. challenge this week.

Brittney Vanderlaan, on the blog Design Team, gave me the idea to do this layout in a Z-fold.  You can check her pretty card right here!

I started with a normal 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Crumb Cake card stock and scored it at 2 1/2″ and 4 1/4″ along the long side.  I folded the card to create the Z-fold.

Next, I matted three pieces of Share What You Love Specialty DSP on Mossy Meadow and then adhered them into the card base with Liquid Glue.

For the art on the front, I used my Stamparatus to stamp the running horse from Let It Ride in Early Espresso on my favorite piece of Wood Textures DSP.  Then I cut it out with a Rectangle Stitched Framelits die, matted it on Mossy Meadow and adhered it to the front “z”.  Tip – be sure you only use adhesive on the left side of your art panel so that the card will open and close!

The sentiment, from Let It Ride, is stamped in Mossy Meadow on Crumb Cake and cut with the smallest Rectangle Stitched Framelits die.  Then I embossed it in the Pinewood Planks Dynamic TIEF.

I adhered the sentiment to the art panel with Liquid Glue, then I adhered a True Gentleman Button with a Glue Dot.  Over that is a double-loop bow in Linen Thread – and that was it for the front of the Z-fold.

The inside is another piece of Crumb Cake, cut with a Rectangle Stitched Framelit.  I stamped a sentiment from Well Said in Mossy Meadow.  Over top, using my Stamparatus, I added some Let It Ride pine trees in stamped-off-once Crumb Cake.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mossy Meadow mat and then into the card base – making sure that is was directly behind the front panel when the card is closed.   And that was it for the card!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got another Let It Ride pine trees image on the front in Crumb Cake…

…and then I added more of the Share What You Love Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This is a SUPER simple fun-fold, y’all!  I really hope you’ll give it a go.  I love the Let It Ride set – between the horse images and the pine trees…yep.  It’s right up my alley!  And Well Said is…Well.  Well Said indeed!  So many great sentiment combinations are possible with this Super-Sentiment-Set!  I hope you like!

UPDATE ON DIE INVENTORY

Stampin’ Up! posted this today….

Due to complications with our die supplier, we’ve run out of the Doily Builder Thinlits Dies (item 148553) in North America and they will not be available in the future; this item will retire with the 2019 occasions catalog and because of these complications, we will not be able to replenish inventory on this item. If you placed an order for these dies while the item was on backorder, your order will be filled as soon as possible.

We anticipate our inventory may soon be depleted on a few additional dies that will retire with the current occasions catalog. The dies listed below will retire and will likely run out before the end of the catalog sales period.

If we sell out of these dies, they will no longer be available to order:

  • Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies (item 148529)
  • Rose Trellis Thinlits Dies (item 148549)
  • Detailed Birthday Edgelits Dies (item 148548)

We are also concerned that we may run out of a few dies that will carry over into the new annual catalog. If this happens, they may go on backorder or may not be available to order until we are able to replenish the inventory.

We recognize that this is frustrating for you, and apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing. The last thing we want to do is disappoint our customers, so we are working on solutions to improve the situation with this product line.

***If you are wanting any of the three die sets listed, please order them very soon!  They are available only while supplies last and I suspect that they will not last long.  Click the images below to find the bundles and die sets in my online store.

Bunny Builder Punch is No Longer Orderable

Stampin’ Up! also let us know that sales for the Bunny Builder Punch (item 147039) have exceeded our forecast and our stock is now depleted. Once we receive additional inventory (at the end of April), we will fulfill all backorders.  If you want to cancel a backordered Bunny Builder Punch, give me a shout and I’ll call Stampin’ Up! to cancel it for you.

If you’d like to be notified via email when this product is back in stock, please enter the item number on your order. You will receive a pop-up notification asking if you like to receive an email when it is again available for purchase.

The Organdy Ribbon Pack, Hop Around Framelits and Call Me Cupcake Framelits are…Gone For Good.

All these products have sold out and we won’t be getting any more in stock.

I’m so sorry if you missed them. 🙁

Finn Fan Fix

Beautiful day here in GA on Tuesday!  The Man was just chillaxin’ on the sidewalk.  And perusing the birds.  And looking at the trees.  And guarding against rogue figments…

Well – mostly just chillaxin’!

  1. Mary, this is such a nice card….the sketch, DSP and images are perfect together.

  2. Such a lovely card, and I am positive your friend thinks so too. Anywho, it is the thought behind it that counts. The Stonehenge thing is TOO funny! Just heard this morning that our state legistlature is considering leaving the clocks one way or the other, no flipping back and forth.
Someone told me the other day that way-back-when they first did DST, they did it for the farmers? HUH? Farmers work by the sun, not the clock!! Bureaucrats!

    • stampsnlingers

I’d heard they did it so the KIDS would be home from school with more daylight to help their farmer parents! Maybe somewhere there’s a nugget of truth!! Thanks very much, Julie! 🙂

  3. Such a beautiful card! Your mix of designer papers is perfect and so are the colors! Yep, Ginny did a bit of laying in the sun yesterday too…sounds like today should be a carbon copy of yesterday. Yay! 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

Yep – I’d take another 365 days like yesterday and today!! Thanks much, Amy! 🙂

  4. Love the design of your card and the colors. I see we entered the same challenge 🙂 Your Stonehenge meme is priceless. I DO NOT like waking up in the dark BUT I do love having it stay lighter at night. Hello darkness my old friend…You’re welcome for the earworm…lol.

    • stampsnlingers

Dang it! NOW you’ve done it, girl! Sheesh… thanks very much and I agree completely on your darkness comments. 🙂

  5. Kate

    Very nice.
Still finding the Stonehenge thing more amusing than the real deal.
That tucked up paw!!! The bouvs did it too. Very dear.

    • stampsnlingers

Yep – it’s dog for “I’m too cool for school!” Thanks, Mom – and thanks for sending the little cartoon meme!

  6. pam zorn

Love your card Mary! I love making fun fold cards and this one is super cute!

    • stampsnlingers

Thank you, Pam – it’s also super EASY! Win win! 🙂

  7. Susan K

Beautiful card. I’m sorry you needed it but the friend will appreciate it. Love the Stonehenge meme–I was there way back when you could actually walk among ’em and touch the stones! Glad Finn is enjoying the weather. Chillaxin’ is always good.

    • stampsnlingers

I’d like to see Stonehenge one day. But…I’ll need to go during daylight savings.. 😉 Thanks much, Susan! 🙂
