Stampin’ Up! Part of My Painted Season Story

Happy Tuesday, guys!  Hope your week is progressing nicely!  We’re having a day or two of really gorgeous weather – the rain is done for a minute and we’re hitting the 60’s.  The weather is cray cray this year!

For today, I made a cheerful little card with a couple of old faves and a few new winners!  Painted Seasons – the stamp set AND the designer paper – plays a strong supporting role to the Part of My Story sentiment.  Take a look-see:

The layout is from this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge.

I used a geometric design from the new Painted Seasons DSP in Call Me Clover, matting it on Petal Pink for the card front.  I used a succulent-design to create the smaller strip at the bottom – matting it on Petal Pink and adhering it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

The top panel is Whisper White, embossed in the Climbing Vine TIEF, matted on Petal Pink and adhered with Liquid Glue.

I wrapped a length of Grapefruit Grove Nature’s Twine around the card front, securing it in the back with Glue Dots.

Then it was time to decorate the cake!

I pulled out the Painted Seasons stamp set and built some succulents.  Using the Stamparatus, I inked the image in Pool Party, then sponged the edges with Bermuda Bay using a Sponge Dauber.  I also made two more with Lemon Lime Twist – sponging the edges with Granny Apple Green.  I cut them all out with the new Four Seasons Framelits (coming on 1 March in the SAB Coordination release!).

I stamped some leaves in Bermuda Bay and Pool Party, cutting them with their dies in the Four Seasons Framelits.

With the little dots image in Painted Seasons, I stamped here and there on the embossed panel in Grapefruit Grove.

I stamped the Part of My Story sentiment in Grapefruit Grove on Whisper White and punched it with the new Story Label Punch (available on 1 March) and added faux stitches with my Petal Pink Stampin’ Write Marker.

I used Liquid Glue to start building my collage with succulents and leaves.  Then I added some Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of my sentiment and used them to wind some Gold Metallic Thread and popped  onto the collage.  I added the final succulent with Liquid Glue and a Dimensional.

To finish off, I tied a bow from the Nature’s Twine and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

On the inside, I created a stamped collage with the Painted Seasons images on a Whisper White panel.  I fussy cut a sticky note mask of the succulent.  First I stamped the flower in Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green, then I covered it with my mask.  I added Bermuda Bay and Pool Party leaves, plus some Grapefruit Grove dots.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Petal Pink mat and into my Grapefruit Grove card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another Painted Seasons collage on the front…

…and a little more Painted Seasons DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I surely do love this whole Painted Seasons Bundle, don’t you?  The paper is stunning and the DistINKtive images the stamp set creates are so realistic.  Add in the ability to cut them all out – well, on the first! – and…it’s pretty darned well perfect!  Part of My Story is a wonderful sentiment-only stamp set, too – and IT is FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration!  Win win, I’d say!  Hope you like!
