Stampin’ Up! Country Floral Artfully Aware for a Friend

MikemikemikemikeMIKE!

Yep – it’s HAAWWWMMMP Day!!

A friend of mine and her daughter are having a bit of a week, so I sent them each a card to let them know I’m thinking of them.  This one uses the new Artfully Aware stamp set and the gorgeoumous new Country Floral Dynamic TIEF (which you’ll be able to get for FREE with a $50 purchase as part of the Sale-A-Bration second release starting on 15 Feb!).  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one comes from the FUSION challenge this week!

I used the great Wood Textures DSP so that fits nicely with the Just Us Girls Trend Challenge!

Finally, I also played along with the theme challenge over at Inspire. Create!

I started with a piece of Wood Textures DSP and I ran it thru the Big Shot in the new Country Floral Dynamic TIEF (coming 15 Feb).  Once I had it embossed, I trimmed it down to my card front size and matted it on Balmy Blue.

I used my Light Stampin’ Blends in Balmy Blue, Petal Pink, Mint Macaron and the Dark Daffodil Delight to color all the embossed leaves and flowers.

I stamped the Artfully Aware image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Very Vanilla and colored it with more Blends – this time in Light and Dark Mossy Meadow and Balmy Blue, plus Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede and Ivory for  hair and arms!

I adhered the panel to the card front with Liquid Glue.

To create the frame, I cut a 2 5/8″ x 4″ Rectangle Stitched Framelits from more Wood Textures DSP.  Then I cut a 1 3/4″ x 3 1/8″ Rectangle Stitched Die from the center.  I popped the frame over the art work with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the Artfully Aware sentiment in Balmy Blue on Very Vanilla and cut it with the pretty label die from the Needlepoint Elements Framelits.  I used some Liquid Glue on the ends and a Dimensional in the middle and stuck it onto the card front.

The Lovely Flowers Edgelits gave me a bouquet of little Balmy Blue and Petal Pink flowers.  I used a sponge wedge to lightly flick the same color ink on the petals and adhered them with Liquid Glue.  They all got a So Saffron Share What You Love Artisan Pearl in the middle.

I tied a bow from Mint Macaron Nature’s Twine, adhered it to the end of the sentiment with a Glue Dot and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second Artfully Aware sentiment in Balmy Blue to a Very Vanilla panel.  I inked the leaf from the new Painted Seasons stamp set (another FREE goody in the Sale-A-Bration Second Release!) in Mint Macaron and stamped it off three times and then stamped it over the sentiment using my Stamparatus.  It was a little too light – so I stamped it again (thank you, Stamparatus!) without re-inking!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Balmy Blue mat and into my Mint Macaron card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got more Painted Seasons leaves in Mint Macaron on the front…

…and I added more Wood Textures DSP on the envelope flap – and stamped THAT with the Painted Seasons leaf in Mint Macaron!

Et Voila!  This was a perfect image and sentiment for the purpose this week – and I think it will be a good one for many reasons and many people!  And…how about that Country Floral Dynamic TIEF?!?  Are you kidding me?  That folder is absolutely stunning!  Hope you like!
