I’ve got a sweet little card for you today – it uses a stamp set that you may have overlooked in your perusals of the 2019 Occasions Catalog. It’s called Fable Friends and it’s ridiculously cute! Then I kicked it up a notch (BAMM!) with some greenery from the Wonderful Floral Framelits, a little Gingham Gala DSP and a bit of Basket Weave. Take a look-see:
The layout for this one was inspired by the sketch challenge over at the Paper Craft Crew.
I started with a piece of the Gingham Gala DSP, matted on Flirty Flamingo card stock for the card front.
The next layer is Whisper White, embossed in the awesome Basket Weave Dynamic TIEF, then cut with a new Rectangle Stitched Framelits die, then I matted it on Flirty Flamingo and adhered it with Liquid Glue.
I stamped the totes-adorbs little squirrel dude from Fable Friends in Early Espresso on a piece of Whisper White, then cut it out with a circle Stitched Shapes Framelits die. I colored him with my Stampin’ Blends in Light and Dark Crumb Cake, Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green and Flirty Flamingo.
I used my Dark Poppy Parade for his scarf and sleeve bands – and Dark Mango Melody for the middle of the flower.
I cut another circle Stitched Shapes Framelits die from Vellum card stock and embossed it in the Basket Weave Dynamic TIEF. I adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
Since I love it so much, I pulled out the Wonderful Floral Framelits and cut several leaves from Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lime Twist and Vellum card stocks, then I adhered them all artistic-like with Liquid Glue. I popped the squirrel on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
My sentiment, from Fable Friends, is heat-embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Granny Apple Green and cut with the die from Needlepoint Elements. I added it to the card front with Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I tied a tiny Lemon Lime Twist bow from the Organdy Ribbon pack (this is a free goody from the Sale-A-Bration catalog with a $50 purchase) and adhered it with a Glue Dot. Then I added some Share What You Love Artisan Pearls and the card front was done!
On the inside, I simply added grass from Fable Friends in Granny Apple Green and Lemon Lime Twist to a Whisper White panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Flirty Flamingo mat and into my Granny Apple Green card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Fable Friend grass across the front…
…and more of the Gingham Gala DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Look at that face! Birdseed wouldn’t melt in his mouth! 😉 As you might imagine, Finn is NOT a fan of this particular card. It’s just…wrong…on so many levels! But – I love this Fable Friends stamp set – the little images are darling and the sentiments perfect! Hope you like!
