Stampin’ Up! Seasonal Pleasant Pheasants Thanksgiving

Good morning!  Happy beginning-of-a-short-week!  And almost-Thanksgiving!  Soon after this post goes live, I’ll be on my way to Huntsville for a meeting or two today and tomorrow.  Then home to start cooking for T-day!  I have deviled eggs, mashed potatoes and a couple of desserts on my to-do list.  And we’re going to be smoking the turkey!  Fingers crossed on that one!

If you were able to join me last night for my FB live, I appreciate you spending part of your weekend with me!  If not, but you’d like to see the replay, here ’tis on YouTube!

My card looks more complicated than it was – which is awesome, right?  Thanks to the pretty Toil & Trouble DSP, Woodland TIEF (and a little bleach), a few leaves from the Seasonal Layers Framelits and some sentiments from Pleasant Pheasants – all the tools were there.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge!

And the fall flavor was inspired by this photo from TGIF Challenges!

I started with a piece of Early Espresso card stock that I embossed in the Woodland TIEF.  Then, with a Squares Layering Framelits die, I cut a diamond shape in the middle.

To bring out the details in the trees, I used an old Blender Pen and a little household bleach – painting the spots that I wanted to lighten and bring out.  NOTE:  be sure your crafting spot is ventilated well when you use bleach, okay? 😉

Then I adhered a piece of Toil & Trouble DSP behind the panel with Liquid Glue and matted the whole thing on Crushed Curry to create the card front.

I pulled out the Frosted Bouquet Framelits and cut a couple of Cajun Craze berries.

For the leaves, the Colorful Seasons stamp set and Seasonal Layers Thinlits did the work.  I stamped a couple of detailed leaves in Early Espresso on Crushed Curry and cut them with their matching die.  Then I used Light and Dark Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends – plus the Color Lifter – to color them in.  To create the look I was after, I carefully crumbled each leaf and then straightened it out!

I also fussy cut two pumpkins from the Toil & Trouble DSP.  Finally, I cut two Copper Foil detailed leaves with that Seasonal Layers Framelits die.

For the sentiment, I used the Pleasant Pheasants set and stamped it in Cajun Craze on a strip of Whisper White. I snipped a banner end and then edged it with my Cajun Craze Stampin’ Write Marker.

With all the elements ready to go – it was a matter of adding them all in an ever-so-artsy manner with Liquid Glue.  The top pumpkin also has a Stampin’ Dimensional underneath it!

I finished off with a Linen Thread double loop bow (what else would a girl do for this kind of card?!) and a simple bow made from White Solid Baker’s Twine that I colored with my Dark Pumpkin Pie Blend.  I also colored a Pearl Basic Jewel with the Light Pumpkin Pie Blend – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Pleasant Pheasants in Cajun Craze on a Whisper White panel.  Over top I added a detailed leaf from Colorful Seasons in stamped-off-once Crushed Curry.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Crushed Curry mat and into my Cajun Craze card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a few Colorful Seasons leaves in Crushed Curry on the front…

…and I added some more pumpkin-strewn Toil & Trouble DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Pleasant Pheasants really has two of the prettiest fonts in the catalog – love them for the perfect sentiments!  And it’s handy to have Colorful Seasons and the matching Seasonal Layers Thinlits handy for Fall, yes?  Hope you like!

Snowflake Showcase Bundle Updated!

The White Velvet Sheets – a part of the Snowflake Showcase – have been discontinued.  As advertised at the beginning of the promotion, these products were all “while supplies last”.  And once they run out – they’re not being re-ordered.

What does that mean for my special bundles?  Well – I’ve updated the product list to remove the White Velvet Sheets, and reduced the price accordingly.

But folks – if you’ve been thinking you’d wait until the very end of the promotion period – I’d strongly recommend that you NOT wait another moment!  This has been a WILDLY popular set of goodies – and I’d hate for you to miss out.  The stamp sets, thinlits and trinkets are still available – but…there’s no telling for how much longer!

You can click on the picture above to see a fun video showcasing the products.  Then check out the flyer below to take a closer look-see!

Here’s the deets:

  • No limits apply during the customer sales period. So be quick while supplies last!

  • Items may be purchased in any type of order.
  • Items may be included as part of a Starter Kit!!  Join now!
