Stampin’ Up! Spirited Snowmen Suite Season!

Happy weekend, y’all!  Hope you’ve got a good little sumpin’-sumpin’ planned!  And are enjoying Fall!  I know we are – even yesterday’s rainy drizzly cold day!  Autumn is in the air!

I’ve got a super-cute, super-quick, super-simple little Christmas number for you today.  It’s got a little Spirited Snowmen and some Suite Season Specialty Washi Tape.  Take a look-see!

The layout hails from the sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches.

I started with a piece of Whisper White and I wrapped three pieces of the Suite Season Specialty Washi Tape around it.  Your Stampin’ Up! Grid Paper is a HUGELY handy tool for this kind of design element, y’all! 🙂

I matted the panel on a piece of Shaded Spruce card stock with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the sweet Spirited Snowmen in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a smaller piece of Whisper White, using my Stamparatus.  When the ink had dried, I colored him with my Light and Dark Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends.  I used my Dark Pumpkin Pie Blend for his carrot nose and a Light Smoky Slate for the blades of his skates.

I added the Spirited Snowmen sentiment in Cherry Cobbler at the bottom of the panel and matted it on Shaded Spruce.

I popped the panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then added a few snowflakes from the Santa’s Workshop Enamel Shapes and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second sentiment in Cherry Cobbler to a Whisper White panel, then I surrounded it with snowflakes in stamped-off-once Pool Party.  I finished off by wrapping some more of the Suite Season Specialty Washi Tape around the bottom.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Shaded Spruce mat and into my Pool Party card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Spirited Snowmen snowflakes in stamped-off-once Pool Party on the front…

…and I added a final strip of the Suite Season Specialty Washi Tape to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  You can get a lot of design BAM from this Suite Season Specialty Washi Tape, huh?  And – there’s no denying the adorable cuteness of the Spirited Snowmen!  Hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

Accessories make the Man.

Right?

But – perhaps the phrase refers to a pocket square.  Or maybe some snazzy cufflinks.  Perfectly shined wing-tips.

Okay – I’m dating myself, maybe.

Finn maybe does NOT quite get the “accessories” thing.

“Does this leaf make my butt look big?!” 😳

  3. Kate

    Cute little snowdude.
A well-placed leaf is an enhancement and adds not a whit to the size of the baggage. 😉

    • stampsnlingers

Well – he can nail some leaf placement, for sure! Velcro pantalloonies are handy for that! Thanks, Mom! 🙂

  4. Susan K

That snowman makes me smile everytime. Great take on the sketch.
I’m surprised the Finnman doesn’t have more leaves! My cat’s pantaloonies sure catch them!

Really enjoyed Finn’s costume accessory and your little joke about it, Mary!! Our dog also has Velcro pantalloonies that capture all kinds of “goodies” to enhance his fur coat. Your snowman card is a real cutie!

Those velcro pantalloonies are tough to keep UN-adorned! Thanks much, Rita! 🙂
