Stampin’ Up! Cauldron Trick or Treat for Halloween

Mornin’, y’all!  Happy Hawwmp Day!!  I hope you had fun with the 30th Birthday sale yesterday.  It was a good ‘un, huh?

My Ordering Bonus is still going on – so there’s time to gather up some supplies to help with the upcoming Holiday season!  Read on down for the all the details and get in on it before it goes away on the 28th!

I thought it made sense to do another – maybe the last one? – Halloween card, since it’s right around the corner.  I used some fun Toil & Trouble DSP and images from the Cauldron Bubble and Trick or Tweet stamp sets (love this cute set!).  Take a look-see:

The layout is from this week’s Inspire. Create. Challenge.

And the not-so-spooky color scheme is from the Just Us Girls color challenge.

I started with a piece of the Toil & Trouble DSP that I’ve been hankering to use since I first saw it – those little frogs just crack me up! I matted it on Gorgeous Grape for the card front.  Then I matted a smaller design on Gorgeous Grape and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I used the spider web die in the Cauldron Framelits to cut a web from Coastal Cabana and adhered it in the corner of the smaller panel.

I cut some stars from a piece of Gorgeous Grape and adhered them here and there amongst the web, using Liquid Glue.

For the art and sentiment, I stamped the adorable little dog from the Trick or Tweet stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a rectangle of Whisper White.  Then I colored it with my light and dark Smoky Slate, Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.  I stamped the Trick or Tweet sentiment in Coastal Cabana.

I matted the panel on Gorgeous Grape and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A few more Gorgeous Grape stars finished off the card front.

On the inside, I added a sentiment from the Cauldron Bubble stamp set in Coastal Cabana onto a Whisper White panel.  Then I added Granny Apple Green frogs and Gorgeous Grape stars.  I colored some of the stars with my Dark Bermuda Bay Blend.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Gorgeous Grape mat and into my Coastal Cabana card front, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more frogs and stars on the front…

…and I had to use some more of that froggie Toil & Trouble DSP on the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  Love the little costumed characters in the Trick or Tweet set – and the sentiments and images in Cauldron Bubble work with it perfectly!  I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

It’s Fall in Georgia!  Probably our bestest time of year.

Surely MY favorite time of year – and I suspect it’s Finn’s too!

Of course, he doesn’t call it Fall.  He just calls it….oh-thank-goodness-it’s-not-so-freakin’-hot season! 😉

We can walk in the morning – and actually be kind of chilly!  Finn gallops the whole way with me when it’s chilly.  And…has the energy to pick up sticks and stuff!

And this next one – has nothing to do with Finn, other than that he’s around somewhere!

I just thought it was cool.

THAT is only seen here in the Fall and Spring!  Love it!

  1. What a cute card! Love the colors. 🙂 And I’m right there with Finn, I’ll happily trot along (although…maybe not chew on sticks and stuff) in the fall. Not so much in the summer. 😉

Never knock a stick till you’ve tried it! Thanks much, Amy! 🙂

  2. Your froggahs made me so hoppy this morning (I know you saw what I did there!) and Finny too. This is such a cute card. I think it’s gotta win one of the challenges.

    • stampsnlingers

I did see what you did there!! 😉 Thanks much, Karen! 🙂

  3. Kate

Scare up a little fun…you did just that with this cute card.
Glad you and the Finn have a cooler venue. More than a little welcome, I’m sure!
