Stampin’ Up! Frosted Floral Fun-Fold Shutter Card!

Good Monday, y’all!  And – since it’s a Holiday, it truly is an actual GOOD Monday! 🙂

If you were able to join me last night for my Facebook Live video, I sure appreciate you spending part of your long-weekend with me (and for being patient in the middle of my network difficulties!).  If not, but you’d like to see the replay, here it is on YouTube.  Be aware that it starts a little disjointedly – my network dropped us near the beginning of the video – but you’ll get to see the whole card being made!

The card we made last night – a Shutter Fun Fold – uses paper from the 2018 Holiday Catalog called Frosted Floral Specialty DSP.  And it is gorgeous!  I pulled some goodies from the Annual Catalog, too – the Hello Kitty stamp set and the fun Cat Punch.  Take a look-see:

The front was inspired by this week’s TGIF challenge!  I went straight down the right side column!

A Shutter Card looks just like a regular Gate Card from the outside – complete with a decorated belly band.

In this case, I used a couple of Stitched Shapes Framelits circles – a Whisper White and Frosted Floral DSP circle – atop a Mint Macaron scalloped circle.  The sentiment is from Pretty Kitty, stamped in Blackberry Bliss on Sea Foam card stock and cut with the Classic Label Punch.  It’s all adhered to a 1″ wide Soft Sea Foam belly band.

The fun of a Shutter Card really gets going when you open it up!

This fold looks way more complicated than it is – and the video will show you just how easy it is to cut and assemble – so I hope you’ll give it a watch!  Th sentiment, from Pretty Kitty, is stamped in Blackberry Bliss.  Over that, I added one of the sweet kitty images from the set – in stamped-off-once Soft Sea Foam.

I added the same cute image from Pretty Kitty to the front of the Whisper White Envelope…

…and, as usual, gave the flap a little more of the Frosted Floral DSP!

Et Voila!  This is an easy fold to make, y’all – and you can decorate it however you wish! So watch the tutorial and try one for yourself! Hope you like!

What are catalog shares, you ask?  They’re your chance to try a little bit of everything and see what you like the best.  It’s like…your first trip thru a cruise ship buffet…you have a little taste of all the fun things you like (or have never tasted) and then you go back for seconds (or even thirds!) on the goodies you love!

I’ll place our Shares order first jump out of the box on 5 Sept 18 and use expedited shipping so I get it back fast!  Then I’ll get it all cut up, packaged and out the door quick as I can – hopefully early in the week of 10 Sept.

Shares are open to anyone – including demonstrators, so…check it…

I’ve got a few options for you to pick from:  a New Designer Series Paper Share, a New Ribbons/Embellishments Share, and an I Want It All Share (this one gets a free extra bonus!!).

Finn Fan Fix

Labor Day.

The very name invokes….bar-b-que!  Corn on the cob!  Baked Beans!  Watermelon!

Of those – only ONE is Finn-Friendly.

To be fair – he’d EAT all of them.

And…we’d ALL regret that later.

But.  There’s ONE…

A little watermelon on a hot summer day.  Yum!!

Love the shutter card and enjoyed watching you make it last night.
Tasty treat for Finn…he seems to like watermelon as much as I do! It makes me smile too.

Ahhh. The foldy-up thing. Have to settle for the gingham
cat on the flat. Hate that shaded cube disorder and glad it wasn’t passed on.
Watermelon. Yum and double yum on any day at all. You go, Finn!

  3. Such a cool card design! I really need to try one of those! Cute picture of Finn too…That does look like a yummy treat! 🙂
