Stampin’ Up! Tin Tile Detailed Leaves Sneak Peek

Good morning, my peeps!  Hope your week is going well!

I’ve got a fun little card for you today with another sneak peek – including a look at one of my favorite new things in the 2018 Holiday Catalog – the Tin Tile Dynamic TIEF.   I put a Falling For Leaves sentiment and some Detailed Leaves over top.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one was inspired by the MFT Wednesday Sketch challenge this week.

I made a card with this new bundle earlier – and it looks completely different just by virtue of a totally different color scheme.  If you missed it, you can check it out right here! 🙂

I started with a piece of new Galvanized Metallic Paper (coming soon – 5 Sept! – in the Holiday Catalog), embossing it in the wonderful Tin Tile Dynamic TIEF.  Then I sponged it with Gray Granite ink – just to antique it a bit – and adhered it to a Crushed Curry mat with Liquid Glue.

I wrapped some new Merry Merlot & Copper 5/8″ Reversible Ribbon around the card front, securing it in the back with Glue Dots.

With the Detailed Leaves die, I cut two sets of leaves from Copper paper from the new Joyous Noel 6″ x 6″ Glimmer Paper pack, and adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Also using the Detailed Leaves dies, I cut two solid Crushed Curry leaves and two Merry Merlot detailed leaves.  I ran the Crushed Curry leaves thru the Big Shot in the Tin Tile Dynamic TIEF.

I used Sponge Daubers to rub Crushed Curry ink over the solid leaves, and Merry Merlot over the detailed leaves, then I adhered them together with Liquid Glue.  I stuck the top leaf down with Liquid Glue, then popped the bottom leaf on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

With a sentiment from the Falling For Leaves set, I stamped a sentiment in Merry Merlot on a Crushed Curry strip, then snipped banners in each end.  I lightly sponged the edges with more Merry Merlot, and adhered it with a Stampin’ Dimensional at each end and a little Liquid Glue in the middle.

I finished off the card front with a small bow from the Merry Merlot & Copper 5/8″ Reversible Ribbon, adhered with a Glue Dot – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the large leaf from Falling For Leaves in Merry Merlot in the corner of a Very Vanilla panel.  Then I used my Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Marker to color it.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Crushed Curry mat and into my Merry Merlot card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

The front of my Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got another Falling For Leaves leaf in Merry Merlot and Crushed Curry on the front…

…and I repeated the leaf on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Loving this new Falling For Leaves stamp set and the bundled Detailed Leaves Thinlits, aren’t you?  And – no one can argue that the Tin Tile Dynamic TIEF – especially when combined with a wonderful metallic paper (like the new Galvanized Metallic Paper!) – isn’t one of the coolest things to come along in a while!  I hope you like!

  1. So pretty Mary! That metallic paper is awesome, love your design. Perfect fall colors! 🙂

Et Voila! It’s beautiful! I love your color choices and the sponging deepens the colors perfectly. That Tin Tile DTIEF is something else! TFS.

Thank you so much, Susan! Appreciate it – and yes, that new DTIEF is the bomb-diggity! 🙂

GREAT JOB love all the details! I have to say that the holiday catalog is evil!! Meaning, I love everything, but gotta choose which one to get first! Last year I was good because the year before well I was really bad!! One thing about having a variety of holiday stuff, is that I like to use different stamps from different sets to make my cards. I find getting rid of holiday stuff is the hardest for me and the easiest to buy and keep!!
Hang in there Mary Fridays coming!!
    Hugs

Thanks so much, Kay – I, too, like the freedom to use this and that from various stamp and die sets! If you’ve got ’em – you should use them! Yes, ma’am – Friday is almost here! 🙂
