Stampin’ Up! The Fun Has Begun on our Stampin’ Up! Alaskan Cruise

Good morning, my peeps!  It’s the first full day on our cruise – and this is an “at sea” day!  We’ll be doing our first SU! session this morning (and will probably get a first look at the 2018 Holiday catalog!  Which I can’t share yet – sorry!).

I figured you might like a few pictures from yesterday…

We arrived at the pier on the first bus of the morning…

And the Explorer of the Seas came into view.

We got checked in really fast – it was a well-oiled machine, really!  Since our rooms weren’t ready for a couple of hours, we chilled for a bit on the pool deck, waiting for lunch.

When we headed to the Windjammer cafe for lunch, we were greeted by a ginormous cake!

We didn’t eat any of that cake (please note that I did NOT say we didn’t eat cake…just not THAT cake! 😉 ).

Once our rooms were ready, we headed up to our Deck 8 outside balcony cabin to explore…

It’s not huge – but it’s pretty spacious – and there’s plenty of room for the king sized bed and a sofa.  There’s even a mini-fridge!

One of the best tips we got ahead of time (I think from Patty Bennett – who has done a bunch of these and kindly shared her veteran-cruiser tips and tricks with us!) – was to get a cheap over-the-door shoe organizer for the bathroom.

We dropped by the Stampers’ Base Camp…

…where Amy and I each won a pack of DSP – and we might have eaten some chocolate.  I also got to meet Sara Douglas for the first time!

Later on, Wayne and I went to dinner in the Saphire Dining room – we had Prime Rib! – and watched the Washington coast go by.

On the way back to the room, we saw that there was a parade on the Promenade deck, so…we stopped to watch.

Then it was back to the cabin to get everything unpacked and do my blog post!  And then…bed!

I have big plans to do some time on the treadmill in the morning…we’ll see how that works out won’t we?!?

Hope you’ll come back tomorrow for more updates and a card!

The dates for each state’s sales tax holiday will vary; the definition of “school supplies” will also vary from state to state. Fortunately, a selection of Stampin’ Up! products qualify as school supplies and will be tax-free during each state’s sales tax holiday period. (Sales tax holidays may not apply to additional county, city, and special jurisdiction taxes.) Make sure to take advantage of the savings!

We’ve got like 400 some odd folks here – not sure what the total capacity of the ship is! But – there are a LOT of tags and door placards! We’re a force to reckon with, for sure! Glad you’re enjoying the pics, Karen! 🙂
