Stampin’ Up! Big Wishes Sneak Peek for a True Gentleman for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop!

Good mornin’, y’all – welcome to another edition of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month we’re doing projects with a Masculine bent!  We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

I decided to play with some of the wonderful – and retiring! – True Gentleman DSP.  And I combined it with a fun new stamp set from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog called Big Wishes.  Take a look-see:

This is super simple and quick so buckle up, Buttercup!

I started with some paper from the True Gentleman DSP and matted it on Crushed Curry for the card front.

Using my Stamparatus, I inked up the big, bold and fun sentiment from the new Big Wishes stamp set in Tranquil Tide ink and stamped it a couple of times (to get a nice dark image) on a Very Vanilla panel.  I used a Blender Pen and Crushed Curry ink to color the ribbons and bows.  Then I cut it out with a Stitched Shapes Framelits oval.

I cut a Scalloped Oval mat with my Ovals Layering Framelits and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue. Then I wrapped some Linen Thread around 3 times, securing it in the back with a little Tear & Tape Adhesive.

I popped the sentiment oval over the Linen Thread and mat with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered a True Gentleman Button with a Glue Dot and added a little Linen Thread bow – and that was it for the card front!

On the inside, I added the handy “inside sentiment” from Big Wishes in Tranquil Tide ink to the center of my Very Vanilla panel.  Then, again using the Stamparatus, I added just the top of the candles image in Tranquil Tide.  I colored the candles with my Night of Navy and Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Markers.

I matted the panel on Crushed Curry with Liquid Glue and adhered it into my Night of Navy card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got more of the Big Wishes candles on the front…

…and I added more True Gentleman DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  There are three wonderful negative-space sentiments and the designated “inside sentiment” in the Big Wishes stamp set!  You.  Are.  Going.  To.  Love.  It!!  So – add it to your wish list right now!  And – go get some of this True Gentleman DSP, okay?  It won’t be around too much longer!  Hope you like!

Now that you’ve seen my card, I hope you’ll take a little time to jump thru all the other projects we have to share. Click any name below, or you can use the Previous Blog button to jump to Julie’s page or the Next Blog button to see what Sue’s been doing!
